great stuff, that whole take where they talk about the infinite lighthouses being a take on the whole individual gamer experience with any game was something I hadn't even considered, every experience is similar yet unique in it's own way..

It just goes back to the infinite possibilities in a finite space idea that the game seems to explore.

Going to start playing this on PC today, been playing the shit out of XCOM as I got that as a pre-order bonus. I've heard normal is a pushover and to play on hard.

It is possible to die over and over again on Normal (especially if you don't pay attention and fall off some shit... or run headlong into a gang of assholes with guns).

But you gotta try REALLY hard to do it well.

On Hard and 1999 Mode? Hope you like getting Mushroom Stamped.

Jay still trying defend his normal difficulty playthrough. Stone cold Pinkerton is the only way to go.

Normal was pretty super easy. I only died at all because I knew I could basically go apeshit and still bounce back pretty easily. Starting 1999 mode tonight if I can tear myself away from Battleblock. I can think of at least 3 parts on 1999 that are going to be an absolute bear.

Just finished the game...




Beat it on hard. There were a couple REALLY rage worthy parts, but it was definitely worth it. For anyone who hasn't played yet, do yourself a favor and explore a lot. There's some cool things to find a long the way that you wouldn't if you were just blowing through the story, not to mention, imo the best scene of the game. In-fucking-credible game. I can't really begin to explain lol, it's pretty amazing though. As for the whole, "you need to play 1/you don't need to play 1" thing, you need to know the general basics of the first game. Of course, you'd probably appreciate it 10x more if you've played 1.

Definitely warrants beating another time. But I'm super stoked to finally play through the first Bioshock before I pick up Infinite again, so glad it's already waiting there on my hard drive.
