They could have done a lot more with beast mode. It seems like they just threw something to together on a whim. Hopefully it'll get some DLC and we can play as some lambent.

Buzz was a no show last night and the whole non-podcast thing at the last minute so I was just pissed off and didn't even want to play.

I should be on around 11pm EST tonight so if Swarley, Med, maybe Buzz or another stand in could play so we could pick up where we left off? I'd like to get a good chunk finished because football is Sunday and I'll be out of town Monday through Thursday.

Finally done with Campaign.Almost got spoilerd to death first time I jumped in a room so stayed off line till I finished.Stupid disc skipped half the ending had to YOUTUBE IT. Almost flung something.

Able to play when home if im online im up for a game of any type.

So, FINALLY fired this up tonight and am almost finished with Act 1. Holy balls is this game fucking GREAT.

I played through Gears 1 on Wednesday night, and forgot how much I loved it. Then played through Gears 2 on Thursday/Friday night and remembered how much better than Gears 1 it was. Starting up Gears 3 Friday night right after Gears 2 and the game is leaps and bounds beyond 2. Just a fantastic game so far. And holy shit! As much as I liked the story of the first 1 and 2, it seems with 3 they might actually have learned how to tell a story well over at Epic.

I would have to disagree. While I love all the Gears games, with this one being the best by far, none of them have good stories. The first one was the worst.

In this one, one you hit Act 3 you will immediately realize...

 

what a ripoff of Uncharted 1 it is. It's uncanny.

But I just hit Act 4 so maybe it will somehow get a lot better. The game is still awesome though.

Eh, I don't claim that the story is good, it's just "action movie" good IMO. Like Uncharted 2 was action movie good. And in 3 they are actually trying to tell a story. Prior to that, I liked the universe, just felt that the storytelling was bad.

And your spoiler is fine, both are stupid stories, and both are clearly stealing from other stories. I have stopped letting that be a reason to dislike a games story at this point.
