For all the naysayers pointing out that if you want to play online get the 360. Just look at the threads for Madden on PS3 and COD whenever each COD game comes out.
The madden threads are always blowing up, but everytime a new COD drops the PS3 crowd goes wild. The MW2 thread might be the most popular thread in the arcade. When Rainbow Six games were being released, people were going ape over that game on the PS3 as well.
The PS3 doesn't compare in its chat/community capabilities as the 360 does, but online gaming wise its right there. People obsessed with a video game social network should get the 360.
If you want Blu-ray AND kickass gaming online or offline go with the PS3. Also netflix is coming as an app, starting tomorrow to the PS3 and Hulu plus will be accessible on the PS3 soon. If you are a baseball fan, the mlb.tv app is tits, best streaming app I have ever encountered on any console.
who cares about madden and the 10 people on vsn who play it. and any game that is discussed in in the gameroom forum with our people has a self life of about 2 weeks before people stop discussing it. if playing with people from vsn matters to you, then yes, go with the ps3.
but remember that vsn isnt MMComment

As for the rest of my post, I was simply pointing out the features to BTG. I could give a rat's ass what anyone buys. My post was to display why I have a ps3 and haven't jumped on the 360 or don't see a reason to.

Also, you're probably forgetting a game called Halo: Reach. Amazing how you can even try and compare XBL and PSN.Comment

Its pretty simple.
If you want to play madden or ncaa and use custom rosters go ps3. If you do go online there is a fairly small community here of players that play on the ps3. Although you'll have to put up with their constant rage because you can never finish a game and it lags to no end.
360 is what it is. Fairly solid all around. No custom rosters unless you do your own. Online actually works.
I'm going to go ahead and say fuck both of them. Get a decent PC.
Comes out in 2011 sometime.
/end thread.

Personally, I'm leaning toward an eventual PS3 purchase because of the free online and the fact that it seems to be a better do-everything console. That said, 360 has Fable 3 and Mass Effect. :ionno: It's a personal preference option and most of these guys will be better at giving advice than your's truly.Comment

"There's going to be a brief introductory element to the game that takes you through the events of [Mass Effect] and introduces you to [Mass Effect 2]," said Zeschuk. "And then there's just that fundamental difference of the fact that it's a different platform with different pros and cons and a different controller. The content's largely the same."Comment
