My son asked for the Sly collection for Christmas as well as Racthet CIT. Those games alone should keep him tied over for awhile. Christmas for a gamer with kids that play is great! Gives me a chance to play games that I would normally take a pass on.

twigg u ever play prototype? i picked that up today cause gamestop had buy 2 get 1 free on used games again. I ended up returning InFamous. It just seemed boring to me. i played for about 5 hours and it just felt like the same mission types over and over. plus the weapons didnt really do it for me.
i saw the video review of prototype and it looked like tons of fun....so we shall see.
I also got dragon age awakenings and MGS4. This will be my 3rd try with MGS4....now that i own it i am forced to get into it....i hopeComment

The only time I was bored playing inFamous was when I was combing the city trying to get all of the blast shards. That shit was exhausting.Comment

no thats not it. the game had a crackdown feel to me....that whole super hero guy that runs and climbs and beats up everyone. the problem was that the running, climbing and beating up aspects just felt kind of flat to me. all these aspects were done very well gameplay wise, but the thrill of doing these things didnt do it for me. the missions also seemed like the same thing by going to an area, shooting down the same enemies while turning a valve or something and then it was over
hunting down satelites and finding shards was also not alot of fun.
thats why i went with prototype because running up the side of buildings and leaping 100 feet in the air while weilding some kick ass weapons looked like fun
i dont know why it always has to come down to the console for youComment

Is it me? What does console have to do with Prototype? It's on both.
It just seems like no matter what the game is on ps3, no matter if it's a 10/10 on every site, magazine, whatever, you find a problem with it.
But maybe you just find problems with every game on all systems and the other complaints don't stand out as much.Comment

I was mediocre on inFamous. I definitely enjoyed it but it felt completely repetitive to me. Still, played and beat it but it definitely wasn't my favorite.
(I guess all games are kind of repetitive)I give rep not thanks

i decided to take a gander at the exclusives for both systems to see which ones i though were great and worth buying
360 - 5 Total
Crackdown
gears of war 1
Mass Effect 1/2 (is this exclusive anymore?)
Saints Row 1
PS3 - 6 Total
Demons Souls
God of War 3
MLB the Show 08 - 09 - 10
Uncharted 2
i used wiki to see the list of exclusives for each and assume they had a complete list so i doubt i left anything off. PS3 wins
thats why i call you a fanboy. i say something about a 360 game and you never comment. But if i say something about a ps3 game and you are all over defending it. whats funny about that is i dog a game, but you tend to see it as dogging the console. I love the ps3, and would not want to be without it but it has its flaws. The same can be said for the 360. I just like gaming on the 360 more because I like achievements more than tropheys, i like the online community and experience that XBL provides.
one more point about InFamous. i wouldnt argue with the scores that it got or say that its a bad game. I think its an excellent game....its just not what i was looking for from a game like thatComment

INfamous gets better as your powers increase. The story is good and the ending is fun. It was long but I didnt get bored.
Halo series not on your list??? Forza??Comment

fuck halo.....lol...not a fan and only played reach. it was ok, but not great imo. Forza 2/3 are pretty much the same game imo....both were good sim racers, but neither was great for me...
i say for me because they are excellent games, just not for me.....too sim and not a ton of fun after the honeymoon phase wears offComment

I think you should know by now I'm not a fanboy. A Sony fanboy wouldn't put up with five broken 360's and continue to support it.
Do I prefer the ps3 and think it's a better console overall? Yup. But that doesn't make me a fanboy in the least. I just love games, period.
But back to the matter at hand, if anyone loves classic platformers you really should pick up the Sly Collection. It's awesome, and for the price can't be beat. I'm playing teh second one and it's such a departure from the first but in a good way. It's kind of open world. I'm still on the first chapter but you are basically set up in a town in France and there is an apartment that is your thief headquarters were you return to Bentley and Murray for mission briefings and you can buy upgrades and abilities. It also looks like you can play some missions as the other characters because I played one as Murray, and they have different abilities than Sly.
Plus I played Uncharted 2 last night until after 3am with Buzzman and Jay. Jay and I played a few deathmatch games while waiting for Buzzman to download 100 patches for the game. And we all know how fucking long ps3 updates take. LOL. The shit was too much fun. I was barely awake but didn't want to stop playing.Comment
