Hey Twigg how are you enjoying the Wii U? I'm still on the fence about getting one.

I haven't played it for a while, but I honestly go through spurts with all my consoles. One week I'm balls deep in Forza on the XBone. The next week I'm playing Battlefield on PS4. Lately I've been playing a ton of LEGO games with the wife on 360.
We were having a blast playing Mario 3D World but got sidetracked. We'll get back to it eventually. It;s a fun console if you're a fan of the Nintendo staples, but not a must own. I just buy everything so take that as you will.
Besides playing a shit ton of LEGO games, wrapping up Star Wars TCS and about 70% complete HArry Potter, I started up Fuse with my buddy the other day. I got it from the MS Store for only $10. It's nothing special but being able to play any game with up to four player co-op always ratchets up the fun factor for me. Plus the creativity with the weapons and how you can use their abilities in combination with your co-op partners is pretty interesting. Hopefully we can get Swarley in next time.
I also bought Dungeon Hunter Alliance on Vita for $6.50. I know that game is about as generic as can be but I have a soft spot for dungeon crawlers. I fired it up last night and only played it for about thirty minutes but man do I enjoy that game. It's nice to be able to play it in bed for a bit before going to sleep.
The wife and I wrapped up LEGO HP 1-4 last night with 100% completion and 1000/1000 gamerscore. We were sitting at 98.8% the day before and only needed one more gold brick. We combed that game and couldn't find it. The problem was that there was an indicator showing in the library but everything we read said that was actually a yellow crest indicator (Hufflepuff I believe? I'm not a HP fan) and it was glitched, so ignore it. They said if you turned the crests indicator off it will disappear. After checking a bunch of places for the gold brick we finally went back to the library and even with the indicator off and only the gold brick indicator on it was still showing up. We just start trying to activate everything we can and my wife finally hits a hat (selecting or sorting hat? Again, I'm not a HP fan) and the gold brick appears. Mfer. We had been in that room countless times and had busted up and activated seemingly everything but somehow missed it.
We decided to jump right into LEGO HP 5-7 but only played through one level before the wife went to bed and I played my Madden CFM game on PS3. Which brings me to a situation. I totally forgot that immediately after the final week of pre-season the game asks if you want to upload NCAA rosters. Why it doesn't do it at the start of the new season is beyond me. Anyway, I had advanced the week via my phone on the CFM site after all users had played their last pre-season game. Because of this I never got to see the prompt because it doesn't show up there. I didn't realize it until about halfway through my week 1 game. This sucks because now our next draft will have made up players and I guess I have to use the 2016 class the following season.
So, the wife and I only have book 7, part 2 left of LEGO HP's Story Mode left. Of course then we'll still have to do all the Free Play stuff and knock out all the cheevos.
We also finally started Diablo III the other day. We cleared that giant field area after beating the Skeleton King. Like I mentioned in the thread for the game it's a lot of fun and has theat "addictive" quality of looking forward to the next play, but I honestly don't see all the rabid fervor over the game. It seems like a pretty basic dengeon crawler to me. I just happen to love those games.
And last but not least, I started The Last of Us DLC last night. Wow is that shit good. I'm guessing I'm about halfway through and I'm hoping to finish it tonight. I started on Hard difficulty but I'm starting to regret that decision.
I decided I'm going to start another playthrough of The Last of Us on Hard. I was thinking of using the New Game + workaround to just go straight to Survival difficulty but eveerything I've read says that it's a nightmare and I know I'll just be way too frustrated and won't enjoy it. I figure New Game + on Hard should still be a challenge but I'll still be able to enjoy everything and also collect all of the collectibles I missed.
After being blown away by the DLC I just have to play this again. I got through the prologue last night befor jumping on Dead Nation with Jay, and I still can't believe how amazing the game is.
So, after wrapping up inFAMOUS Second Son the other day, and then getting my platinum in the original inFAMOUS after five years, I decided to start my Last of Us Hard+ playthrough. If anyone is wondering the game is still incredible and it almost feels like I'm playing it for the forst time. The wife is watching me and I'm using a guide to make sure I don't miss out on the few shiv doors, collectibles and conversations I missed on my original playthrough.
I'm still in awe at how great the game looks. It could easily be in a PS4 box and I wouldn't bat an eye. The only thing that still stands out as far as negative things go is how the NPC characters (mostly Ellie as she's with you most of the game) will run or crouch right past an enemy and they never seem them. It takes you out of the experience when that stuff happens.
I popped in Knack last night. I love how I popped it in and within 30 seconds I could play. I don't have to wait for the full install and any updates. *insert shitting on XBone comment here* I've only played a few chapters so far and I'm not impressed. It seems like it could be a decent game but it's just so generic. I like the old school feel to it, reminiscent of PS2 era action platformer games, but the environments, enemies, NPCs, etc are just so bland. I'm sure it will get better but I'm glad I only spent $25 on it.
I finished the Gale Temple last night. I absolutely love this game. It reminds me so much of the original Zelda which is one of my favorite games of Al time. I really need to go back and play the SNES game, A Link to the Past. I have it downloaded on my Wii but never played it.
I have to say that this dude Ravio is a real piece of work. I'm kind enough to invite him to stay in my house RENT FREE and he has the balls to charge me rental fees for items like bombs and the hookshot? Mfer.
