Also, holy shit you guyz, you weren't kidding about RttS. That shit is addicting as fuck! I suck huge donkey balls (batting like .200 with no HRs and 5 RBIs with my SS) but it's still a blast.

Okay, the fun factor of RttS is starting to wear off. It's so fucking hard to hit. I get that it shouldn't be as easy as the HR Derby but come fucking on. I've even adjusted several sliders to make things easier and it's still ridiculous. My player is batting like .150 and seems to have been relegated to a pinch hitting role. Of course when you suck you can't earn any points for training, not that training seems to do fuck all anyway. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

I've even played a few exhibition games and strike out 15-18 times per games. There are times where I'm like "I know I should've at least made contact" but, nope, whiff. Not fun at all.

That's my problem with baseball games, I have absolutely no plate discipline which leads to me getting frustrated haha.

At first your player is horrible and you have to go through the growing pains. I am assuming your playing on Zone hitting....that is where you have to aim the bat to where the ball is. With this mode I would suggest guess pitch. I was horrible at first...batting in the low 200s even 100s. I had a hot streak and as moved up to AAA and was terrible and then they moved me back down to AA then traded. After like 50+ games my player is finally getting better. I am batting .270 now in AAA for the Springfield Cards. You have to have plate discipline....try and draw walks. You have to recognize the situation and how the pitcher is doing....if he has no energy he is more likely to be wild. I get most of my hits on 2-1 and 3-1 counts. It takes time and I actually like that it is hard to hit.....it makes it SOOOOOO rewarding when you finally go 3-4 or come in as a pinch hitter and knock in the go ahead run.

Analog or gtfo. Zone hitting? This isn't Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball on the N64 lol.

I think your confused....zone hitting is using the analog stick but you have to point the analog stick to where the ball is and press the X or O button to hit it (timing). I also dont use that dumb yellow circle indicator in the middle of the screen.

I think you use zone plus where you have to pull the analog stick back and forward.....no I dont use that.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about with zone hitting. Too difficult for me. I'm just using the old analog hitting (not the new zone plus crap). Just purely timing with the stick.

I have always played where I have to point to where the ball is to get a hit.....I cant break the habit so I like to use it......but yeah it is harder.

I don't use the sticks because for one, I've never like using sticks in games, whether it be NBA 2K, Tiger Woods, or this. Plus, the sticks on Vita don't seem anywhere near as intuitive as one on PS3.

It's definitely tougher on the Vita, but I just can't use anything else for sports games that offer it on the consoles. Just makes much sense to me, feels more real-life (not sure if that's the phrase I want to use) than pressing a button.

To each his own I guess. I mean you like using inverted crap as well lol. J/k, but seriously.

I'm old school I guess. I'll take a swing meter in Tiger over using a stick any day. Too much guess work with the sticks. How do I really know what an 80% power shot is? If I know I'm 80 yards from the green and my 9 iron will go 100 yards at max power, I can figure it out quite easily with a meter. Using the stick? No thanks.

The sticks might be better for this game though because charging up a throw with a button seems easy but the response seems so delayed. I can't tell you ho many times runners were safe because my player just holds the ball like a dick head before going into his throwing animation.

I did drop the hitting level down from Veteran to All-Star, or vice versa, and seem to be doing a bit better. I did hit my first HR (it felt soooooooo good) and I'm hitting around .220 now. I still can't really get the timing down though. I swear I'm either way out in front of even fastballs, but when I do try to wait I'm way late and either foul the pitch off or hit it to righty field (I'm a right handed hitter). There doesn't seem to be any in-betwen.

The training points scoring system is really pissing me off too. The inconsistency is a joke. I once hit a triple with an RBI that tied up the game in the bottom of the 8th and I only got 18 points. 18 POINTS!!! I've gotten 18 points on singles up the middle in the middle of the game.

All-Star would be pretty tough for someone like you who is new.
