I did some retro gaming last night. I played some Ken Griffey on the SNES. I edited a few teams and I think I might start a season tonight if I can get all the players edited.I played two games and both were close but I lost both which is good. I'd like to have some challenge. I also played a handful of levels of the first Crash Bandicoot on my Vita before turning in for the night. That game still holds up well.

      Maynard would be so proud.

Can you change the name of your thread to CALL THE COPS MOTHERFUCKER? More people would read it I promise.

Griffey on SNES was goat. I loved hitting HRs down the line.

So, the other day I started editing the teams in Griffy. I got about ten teams done when my dogs come into my retro room. One of the decides to spin around and start chewing on himself right near the SNES. He apparently bumped it just enought to cause the game to freeze. When I botted the game back up my save was gone and all my roster progress deleted.

The following day I started over again and got another five or so teams done before the SNES was bumped again by me and the same thing happened.

I restarted for a third time yesterday and got all the National League teams done. I'm actually shocked the battery still works in this cartridge but apparently if you so much as touch the console while the game is in there it freezes and deletes everything. Ugh.

I just hope I can finish the rosters maybe today and start a season. I'd love to be able to play a full season, something I haven't done since Tony LaRussa Baseball on the Sega Genesis.

I've been playing a bunch of Mario Golf and Borderlands. Mario Golf is a lot of fun. Very colorful, unique courses and interesting power ups. I went ahead and bought the Season Pass since I had $15 left in my Nintendo Wallet.

I popped Borderlands 2 back in on the 360 to hopefully finish up the main story and get to all of that delicious DLC. I know I have a ways to go. I forgot what a pain it is to play solo. Your "fight for your life" meter drains so quickly on solo, which seems like it should be the complete opposite. Plus enemies have a tendency to run and hide from you once you're downed so it's tough to kill them to get a second wind. I also helped my wife finish up the Borderlands 1 DLC so now we can finally jump into Borderlands 2 on PS3.

And then there is Borderlands 2 hitting Vita soon. Damn.

I'm still just playing Borderlands 2 and then playing a round of Mario Golf in bed before sleep.

Last night I hit Opportunity in Borderlands so I think I'm nearing the end of the main game. I'm really looking forward to finally playing the DLC.

I forgot how long a game Borderlands 2 is.

I was rolling along for a while but now it's getting frustrating again. I completed the story mission where

                        Roland dies
and I'm trying to complete the missions in Eridium Blight and such. That one quest where you have to help make that robot more human was such a pain. There's only one area where the items are supposed to spawn and I had to go there, leave and come back like seven times in order to obtain all three items. But that wasn't the most frustrating part. I get that 'Lost Treasure' side quest where you have to find the treasure map pieces and then go back to the Caustic Caverns. I had just hit level 31 and the quest shows as a level 26. The fuck it is. The enemies are all minimum 29's with most 31-32. Couple that with the fact that at least half of the enemies are Bad Ass variants. After dying about five times because your fucking downed meter depletes in five seconds, I decided to take a break.

I have no clue why a 'trivial' rated level 26 quest is so difficult.

Edit: I also forgot that I need to give Dizzle a big shout out. Not only am I trying to wrap up the main story and finally get to the DLC on the 360, but my wife started her first playthrough of the game on PS3 last week and I've been helping her. Dizzle also hopped on a few times to play with us. Considering he's done about everything you can do in that game, about five times over, and I know he has a ton of his own shit to play, that was very cool of him to help out.

So, I finished the Scarlett Booty DLC for Borderlands 2 and started up the Torgue DLC. Scarlett was solid but wtf is the deal with the bosses, Leviathan in particular, not kicking out any loot?!? The loot as a whole was pretty fucking weak.

I think Scarlett was the basic re-introduction of Pearlescents to BL2 but w/ a twist.

That twist being that you had to beat shitty Raid Bosses to get the special funds to trade in for said Pearlescents (Seraph Crystals - > GUNZ! ).

Also, the implementation of the 24-Hour rule for the boss of that DLC was booty.

Don't put in farmable sub-bosses that have a percentage towards dropping Rare Loot if you're going to limit that farming later on w/o cluing in your customer base.

It makes me on edge for what's going to go down with BL: The Pre-Sequel.

I have no idea what any of that means? I don't think I've seen a single pearlescent in my days and days (actual play time) of both Borderlands games and the dlc expansions. My cousin and I would joke about it all the time. We'd open a random chest, locker, etc and go "Ohhhh, a pearlescent" to which the other would reply "Seriously?!?". Then the original person would respond "Nope, Just kidding."

Also, what are you talking about with waiting 24hrs?

You've never seen a pearlescent? I got one from Crawmerax in the first one.

There are two optional bosses in the Booty DLC that you can only beat (maybe just fight?) once every 24 hours. I think there are others like them in the later DLCs too, but I still haven't touched two of them.
