Man, I hope I don't have to hear all you fanboys crying to the heavens if that DLC sucks dick.
It's also knowing from experience with previous DLC in the series that it will more than likely be decent quality and worth playing. At least that's why I plan on purchasing it day 1. If it were some other game, I most likely wouldn't do it.

It's more because this is the "final chapter" and I want to experience 100% of it. Also it didn't help that the version of ME2 I played came with all of the DLC except Arrival (which I bought)

Curious JHen: did your ME2 on PS3 (which is what I'm assuming you're referring to), have some pretty crappy sound sync issues? I've read some stuff from a year ago on the web, but nothing recent and playing through now on my PS3 copy of ME2...yikes. Lots of bad drops in sound.

And I don't think you can be "burned" by day 1 DLC. I just think that there is a difference between what is necessary to the game and what isn't on a fundamental level. It's possible this DLC will become even more of a screwjob (why I think it is a screwjob already has been stated -- fuck the collector's edition) if it IS really important to the story, but until we know that, no use in getting all knicker twisted.

Yeah, I had it on PS3. Beat ME1 on 360 when it first came out, hadn't beat ME2 at all until recently. Anyways maybe like once or twice the entire game? I don't recall anything significant that spoiled the experience at all though.

its not like the DLC has anything to do with the main story. your buying side quests

No shit. That's the direction video games (mainly from EA) have been heading in for awhile now. And it's absolutely shiesty as hell.

And thanks for pointing out the obvious about any DLC ever... Why complain just to complain? :niggaplease:

That is interesting. It has happened a few times for me (guns recoiling, but sound effects not occurring until well after, lines being cut off, etc...) but I think the only reason I really notice is because I played through it on 360 with no issues. I don't know. I've also read how some people have no issues on either system so who knows. I just noticed some rather blatant issues yesterday and it distracted me because I knew what should have happened. Then I changed from component to HDMI to HDMI to component and it didn't seem to fix it. Oh well.

Its weird, Mass Effect is probably my favorite rpg ever, and the second one was amazing as well, I think I'm just going to wait for the goty edition. I don't mind having some things spoiled, its still going to be an amazing story.

Ugh...come on...I highly doubt that it is on the disc. That is just a silly thought. Again, 1st day DLC isn't what is wrong here...it is that they are charging those that buy the regular retail edition and giving it to the collector edition purchasers for free. Even then, it isn't as gross as it could be (based on what Bioware says) because what is on the disc is a complete game. Fucking relax.

I've only played about five hours so far and I haven't noticed anything like that.

Twigg, are you on HDMI or component cables?

Honestly, I felt like when I first started playing the PS3 version I was on HDMI and had issues, so I decided now to do component. Now I'm wondering if I just forgot and fucked it all up.

All the while I am also wondering why I don't just play through the 360 version again since I have all the shit on that too. Fuck my nerdy life.

                              I'm on HDMI.

I definitely see what you're talking about but I don't remember it happening more than once or twice.
