I don't think I need spoiler tags for this. All you do is give your follower some better armor/weapons then what they are wearing and they will automatically wear it. (From what I hear, if you give them a torch they will automatically carry it at night or in caves.) These companions aren't all dumb.

11 hours in and I haven't even gone to see theGreybeards
Loving this game. And not fast traveling is a bitch so far but REAL REAL fun with all the random encounters and exploring.
Found myself wandering off into "Skyrim thought" at a real good Gonzaga basketball game tonight.
Even some areas have dragons flying by...next time you pass, no dragon.
I'm in no rush here to finish so I don't mind being all stoned coasting through the world.
In Oblivion it was worth buying a house to stash your goods in and have a free place to sleep. Also in Oblivion storage containers would reset every 7 game days outside of a few random ones and those in your various homes, so I'd be cautious storing goods in random barrels until you know for sure.
In Skyrim you can get married and have kids, so I'd assume a home will be necessary for that aspect should you wish to do it.
Become Thane of Whiterun and you get a guardian (forgot what they call themselves). I got this sexy brunette sword and board chick to tank while I threw magic. Unfortunately I got a part where I died, tough battle with 4 enemies. I reloaded, torched the whole room and carried on. A few saves later I realized she was amongst my inferno back there....so I looted her corpse, :teabag: her and carried on my way.Comment

I don't yet. I use the carriage to get to places when it's an option but other wise walk. Going back and forth from Riverwood to Whiterun I had a different encounter (albeit at the same location) each time I passed by.

I'm keeping them, I'd assume there isn't that many and will stash them in a location.

go into the Jarl's house, talk to either him or his aide (Proventius or whatever his name is) They might tell you of her. But after I was announced Thane, she was in there, I spoke to her and she said I'm your "fuck what was it called...some weird ass word" and that was that.Comment

Anyone have any tips on killing dragons? I was just walking on my merry way to finish my Companions initiation, when all of a sudden...BEHIND ME...I hear BOOM...ROAR.
I turn around and a fucking dragon is nuking me with fire before I can even whip my sword out. I'm a one handed battle mage, specializing in Destruction.
Anyone?Comment

Might be a little cheap, but us mages can't take much damage.Comment
