I'm not sure since I'm not really using magic at all, but my gut would say that would fall under enchanting, since you can't create anything with Smithing that utilizes charges (or is enchanted in any way for that matter).

I'll look into it, I don't disenchant/enchant much, I'd rather sell shit for gold right now.

i been doing alot of enchanting/disenchanting. once you start the college quests you have so many chances to find enchanted items that it becomes worth your time to disenchant them instead of taking the gold. the problem with enchanting something into a badass item it that you must have badass tomes which at lower levels are harder to find.

plus u can not disenchant a item that you already know the enchantment for....and i have not been able to disenchant any of my staffs this far. there is also no option for making a staff in enchanting. I dont know about smithing

i agree about playing as a mage. its so awesome. i am also using archery but its all about the spells.

My level 24 character is a top notch archer, it's so awesome to go into a cave and see 4 or 5 bad guys walking around oblivious to your presence and then just taking them all out without any of them even noticing exactly what just happened.

This is is pretty much the character I'm building. I have two ideas for what I want to make next. I'm thinking of making a Naked Nord or Naked Orc, and seeing how far I can get with that. Basically a character that I never buy armor for, travel naked, or in basic hide/leather, and wielding a huge fucking warhammer/battleaxe! Obviously I'd learn oak/stoneskin etc.

For now, I'm a mage and loving it!!! But my Archery is already up to 90 and I'm OMW to get the baddest bow in the game (or so I'm told).

My level 24 character is a top notch archer, it's so awesome to go into a cave and see 4 or 5 bad guys walking around oblivious to your presence and then just taking them all out without any of them even noticing what just happened.

I walked into and flicked arrows at a distance and killed like 8 NPC's from one ledge, including the main boss that I could barely see zoomed in. Like I saw his head and one shoulder. He started casting some Ward spell but that didn't stop my arrows from penetration his head. lol It's a skill I think you must have in this game, Archery.

I don't know if anybody has used my post on how to exploit archery training, but I left it up a few posts back. It might help somebody get into Archery that hasn't tried yet.

i got faendol with me right now (although the fag is off doing who knows what...i dont know where he is). I already did his training and took the gold.

your post about this though is backwards a bit. At least for me it is....it was sven who gave me the note to set up faendol. I ratted him out to the girl and then she told me to talk to faendol. he has been pretty good in battle

I tried to do a mage archer, but its too much of a pain in the ass to swap out to spells and the bow. so fuck it. im going old school minmaxer. destruction in one hand, resto in the other, enchanting to get the most out of my gear.

i wish the favorites menu was a little better. idk if you guys know but you can setup 2 quick use items.

highlight the item in your favs menu and hold dpad left and dpad right...then when you want to equip the item on the fly just hit dpad left/right

I wish there was a "Recently Added" section in your inventory.

I'll be picking up shit, some are unique items and my dumb ass forgets what its called so Im roaming thru my entire inventory for 10 mins. lol

If there was a Recently Added section, then it would be a select set of items to look thru.

So Operation "Recover my misplaced valuables" has begun. I have traveled to 15 locations so far and scavenged for them. No luck yet. I will keep everyone updated on this breaking development.

Lydia or whatever her name is vanished when i went to do the last mission before I joined the Companions. Anybody know how/if I can get her back? I tired the fast travel thing with no luck.

i dont know if you left them in a house you own...but if u left them somewhere random then u will lose them. I read that in the manual

i always enter a building and they show up. are u sure she didnt die? check dragonreach or if u bought the house in whiterun

Decked out my house in Whiterun. AND loaded it with all my extra crap. Now I can actually dungeon crawl and keep everything I find.

You don't lose it when you put it in the statue. After I put it in and the door unlocked, I just took it back and the door stays open. So you can keep it if you want.
