The save file on my level 31 character is up to 11 MB now, probably close to 12.

I'm level 36 (Smithing and Enchanting FTW!) and I honestly haven't seen any slowdown to my knowledge. Is there something specific I should look for?
The save file is huge (12 MB, like JHen). Now, I do have it installed on the 360, which I know causes some pretty wonky textures (I don't want to deal with the load times and I figure I don't want to see it in all of its glory lest I be spoiled until after the patch).
As far as the main quest, it really isn't that interesting. It's good for a Bethesda game, but still not that engaging. The side quests however...and the guild quests...are wonderful.Comment

So today, I played hide and seek with two kids in whiterun. Even with the invisibility spell I lost..Comment

the more I play the more I realize Stormcloak/Imperial is like a choice between a douchebag or a turd sandwich. i only picked stormcloak because the empire tried to execute me, but i really dont like how disrespectful they are to non nord races.Comment

Gonna roll a khajiit and only spend purrks on archery and sneak. Archery is the best part of this game, imo. Especially when you get far into the tree and get the better perks. Every encounter with 5+ enemies is no longer a burden but a fuckfest of badassery.Comment

Just ran a circuit from Whiterun to winterhold to riverwhatever, buying iron ingots and leather strips. 1 each for an iron dagger. by the time i got back to the start, the merchant had his shit replenished. went from 35 smithing to 76 and gained 3 levels. spent about 4k gold. i was spending more than that for 5 points a level in pure training.Comment

Start the Winterhold College quests, complete "under Sarthaal" and go to the Arch-Mage's room. (I don't think you can gain access to his room until you do these quests, not sure. Somebody check that for us).
In that room are a bunch of soul gems, a Staff of the Frost Atronach [BADASS] and on the left side you'll find a lot of alchemy supplies, potions, and alchemy table, and an Enchant table.
Among the potions you'll find an orange potion bottle, that will boost your enchanting by 20% for 30 or 60 seconds!!! There are also a bunch of really good potions here.
You'll be able to raise your alchemy and enchanting REALLY fast here. BTW, there is a dwarven dagger in this room too, you'll be able to enchant and sell for good coin.

went to join the dark brotherhood for the cash to finish my blacksmithing. every single contract is someone out there who deserves to die, or whom i can understand why theres a contract on. this is what i love about this game, and this is why Fallout: New Vegas was my game of the year before I played Skyrim. it's all shades of grey, there isn't a great deal of right or wrong, practically everything i've done in the game is a question of your own belief's.Comment
