sure...i decided to use the build your own home mod for my pics. this is a killer mod

The area of land i own is just SE of Windhelm and just to the W of Dragons Falls Manor (another mod home that is already built and has everything). There are alot of mod homes to add to the game. The Asteria is a dwemer ship that hovers above a river near Riverwood and Dragon Falls is a Nord home. Both are pre built. So this mod is especially nice because you can completely build the home the way you like..well, you can add and remove the things you want but i dont think you have any say so in how it looks or where things are placed in the home.

It is quite extensive with the items that can be included. It goes well beyond the alchemy or enchanting tables. Its goes so far as to let you include a hidden lair for your vampire or werewolf clan. You get a book which tells you what is needed to build everything in the home, then its up to you to find the materials and build. I am more into doing this than playing any quests right now. im hoping to keep the progress updated.

here is the land right below a water fall and has a very large tree that smashed the abandon shack below. Looks like the tree that came down in my front yard after the hurricane last week

now we clear out the debris

    our foundation

Now we build...it is just a small 1 story bare bones house

time for the 2nd story...like i said, bare bones for now

Anyone had the chance to play the new Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim? So far it's pretty damn interesting.

So I just got this game. I'm not an RPG guy, so is there any advice you'd give? I played Dragonage: Origins and didn't enjoy it very much, and that is pretty much my entire history of RPG gaming. So far, I like this game more than Dragonage (a LOT more), so I'm not worried I won't enjoy the game anymore. Anyways, here's what I've done so far:

Escaped Helgen, talked to a bunch of folks in Riverwood and they gave me a few jobs (haven't done them yet, though). I found the three stones and activated the Mage one. Travelled on foot to Whiterun and got a bunch of jobs, joined the Companions, and hired Jenasssa to be my follower. Right now I'm about to explore this mine/cave to the north of Whiterun and I have to clear out the bandits and get a mammoth tusk.

So, any general tips? I've decided that I like magic but it's fun to smash dudes in the face. Is it possible to do some kind of hybrid class where I'm a mage but I can still fight up close? What is the best way of going about things?

just use a one handed weapon and keep your other hand free for magic. I basically play this game like a sandbox game and just free roam not necessarily accomplishing anything

My guy is super powered for where I am in the story since I'm constantly switching weapon styles. I still haven't left the Whiterun area and I'm level 25

That's basically what I've been doing but I wasn't sure if it was a "smart" way to play. It's cool as hell to have a mace or axe in one hand while the other is holding fire. I love the finishing moves, especially with the mace.

I steal everything too. I bought a house so I am always stealing things and storing them in my house. Apparently you can eventually sell stolen goods to the thieves guild

This first time I played this game, I stole a bunch of shit from the first guy I could steal from (the trader who gives you the Golden Claw quest). I didn't understand why everyone wanted to kill me. I got so frustrated. I finally googled it so now I know better.

I ended up starting over since I wasn't very deep into the game and I didn't know how to pay the fines or whatever.

the point of this game is to play how you want. you can play any style u wish. the game will level up based on the skills you use the most. if you use alot of one handed weapons, you level those up. if you use alof of magic styles, you level those up.

one tip...dont waste any perk points on lockpicking

on my 1st play i went full mage and did a shitload of sidequests before tackling the main quest. I was at about 120 hours and only had 4 quests in the main story done. The side quests for the guilds like the companions (there are many more) are alot of fun, long and have good stories.

just do what you want, go where you want. develop your player as you want.
