Still playing on tour pro level.
Leading the Meditterean Open at The Dunes Course at Costa Navarino with a -7 after round 2.
Gonna play rounds 3 and 4 tomorrow.
This has been my best tournament by far, shot a 68, then a 69. And missed a damn 3-foot putt because of that damn pre-shot jerky thing in the game, where the putting meter moves even though you haven't touched the stick. It can be distracting.
I'm up by 3 shots, so I'm sure I'll shoot an 80 tomorrow.

This game owns me. I fucking love it.

Finished 12th in this tourney. In round 4, I didn't expect the expert pins to change my game so dramatically. I shot a 68, 69 and 69 in the first three rounds. By my game came apart in the 4th round, not realizing the greens would change so much ... and at times not having a putting circle. I shot an ugly 77 and finished at -5.
I regained my composure on the bottom 9, but it was too late.
I could have just re-started the round and cheated, but didn't feel like doing that ... and used this 4th round as a learning experience.

12th place is the best I've done so far, so I can live with that. 1st place guy was -17. I would have needed a 65 ... no fucking chance. I am not a 65 player yet.

Currently playing on TOUR Pro with the green grid turned off, and I've been dominating lately...shot a 57 on ELGC, including 12 straight birdies to earn me that pin. Played the first round of the masters, shot -7, three strokes in the lead. Guess it's time to tune the AI scoring from low to very low. We'll see how it goes.

I'll be home most of the day tomorrow if anyone wants to game on XBL. Gold Rush 49er.

u mean keep your skill levels at 50? you said driver at 70 so i wasnt sure if u meant power at 70....or is there a way to cap all your clubs?

do u guys suggest enabling live weather? i am more interested in seeing windy and rainy weather...live weather may not offer enough of that. if its off will the game provide alot of crappy weather?

Yeah, keep all skill levels at 50, but driver at 70. The driver at 70 gives you a 290-yd. driver which seems reasonable to me. Everything else at 50.

I played a season using live weather, and saw sunny days, and high winds I'll say 50% of the time. Turned it off this season, and I've already played in rainy weather 3-4 times. So I suggest turning it off.

i did turn off his voice. But i want to also shut off his visuals. He sets me up for some of the most retarded shots. sometimes he is right, but other times he really fucks with my thinking. Last night he set me up with a fade shot around these trees and i knew i shouldnt try his suggestion. But i did and took a +5 on the hole case i couldnt get out of the trees

so now i head into round 2 at +2 when the cut is already around -3 after 1 round. after 2 rounds im sure it will be around -5

Very low is where it's at! Played the second round of the Masters with those settings last night, and ended up winning my first green jacket. Just finished The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, TOUR Pro difficulty with green grid off, and very low AI scoring. Shot a 59 (-13) the first day, trailed Tiger by a stroke for the lead. Shot a 61 (-11) to finish off the tournament while Tiger had a 63, giving me a one-stroke win for the title. BOOM.

So after some solid time playing with this game, here's my wishlist for next year:

Outfit Creator: I'd like the ability to set up five outfits for quick changes. Hat, shirt, pants, and accessories. Would be much easier than going through the myriad selections in the Pro shop.

Trophy Room: The Masters trophy room is fuckin weak sauce. I want to see all of my trophies from every victory, as well as easily accessible career stats and career history (such as where I finished in a particular tourney each year). I would also like to see player awards make their way into the game. Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Byron Nelson award (player with best scoring average w/ a min. 50 rounds played [rounds played could be adjusted lower for the game]), Arnold Palmer award (awarded to the biggest money-maker), etc.

Money for Pro Shop: I'm pretty sure in past years you earned money based on your finish from each tourney...I'd like to see this brought back. Pro shop items could be unlocked just as they are now, or purchased with tourney winnings (I'm ok with some items being achievement-only).

Sponsorships: Another potential cash cow could be getting actual sponsorships. Played would be paid money for wearing sponsor's clothing and using their clubs/balls/shafts, etc. Players could also earn commercial deals in their career to earn more bucks.

Award Presentations: I was severely disappointed winning the Masters...c'mon EA, I want to see my guy get the green jacket put on by last year's champ. I want award ceremonies after all of the majors at least, if not the small ones as well.

Course-specific Objectives: Medalling up to make your caddie better at a course is fun, but it's too cookie-cutter right now. I'd like to see course-specific objectives to get new medals. For example, get a hole in one at TPC Sawgrass on hole 17 as a gold medal objective. Avoid every bunker at St. Andrews for a bronze, stuff like that.

Improved course intros and flybys: The commentators suck with their course introductions. Give me some actual history, announce that this is day three of the Masters, and I want more in-depth flybys on each hole so they can actually help me make decisions.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but that's off the top of my head.

I have 2 gold mastery courses now. I throw darts at the greens so 50 footer was hard to come by. I was up so much in my tournies, I would put the ball the other way to get further away. After I got to GOLD, fucking caddie didnt offer anything better, I still got "wow you're fucked I got nothing fo you"

I liked the flybys and its an option once paused to look but I usually just skip that shit anyway.

Im playing Windsor Heights now and have the AI scoring to Very Low, much better. Leader was in at -14 before I went off.
