Ive had this for two nights and have yet to put it in. Im climbing the leader board in Full House Poker and I love that they introduced this into TW. Just to get you to play online more I guess, but it is what it is.

EA is shady as fuck, I dont know why people act so surprised about it. They are always going to be this way because people still buy their shit.
Doesn't dispute the game being pretty good quality tho, I do like it.

LOL. I have plenty game mags to read but it used to be nice to be able to sit down and take a nice relaxing shit while reading the manual of the new game you just bought. Those were the days.
Now that I think about it, wasn't it EA that first went to black and white manuals in the Genesis days?

No manual really screwed me up having never played TW before.
Took me a while to figure out how to putt correctly. Thankfully there is youtube, or I'd still be line driving my putts past the hole probably.
I really like this game, though. The courses and graphics are amazing. I can play and watch a movie on my laptop or throw music on and be online or just do something else like I am now and not miss a beat. It's quite nice.Comment

So I can't start my PGA tour because I haven't completed the masters challenges and am not ranked in the top 100 EA Sports?

Ok I finally got to play this weekend and here is what I came up with.
1- The caddie is a "little"annoying. I still a lot of custom shots. I dont know if its cause Im an "amature" or what but the lie (above or below your feet) really affects the shot.
2- Im hoping there is more to this game then what Im thinking. I played the AM Tour and came in first so I didnt have to play any of the other courses or rounds (or are these tournys only one round?) and moved onto the nationwide tour and Im trying to get into Q School. I won my first tourney there in one round again and did move onto the next event. Im hoping there are all these courses and a career to play and not just make it to the Masters in 7 rounds of golf.
3- I guess I'll have to watch the tutorial because there are a few different things this year. ie Club Choke - which I think is cool.
4- Tailback once I read some today about it I'll let you know whats going on because I want to find out for myself.
5-The best tip I can offer is spend your XP in PUTTING. I played a few challenges without spending any XP and if I wasnt perfect on my backstroke or follow through I missed 4 footers.
6- Really like the game though. I did Xbox live Camera Face (which never looks like me but its still cool) I like the sponsors idea and I placed pins on my bag tag and it gave me 15 points. I like how its not money allowing you buy clubs and stuff but unlock sponsors and challenges etc.
This will be cutting into my Full House Poker time now.Comment

You could always make the game harder. With a startup noob golfer on Tour Pro you'd likely still be hackin at the challenges on the AM Tour still. Took me forever to get anywhere and I eventually had to scale back to Tour Pro because it was too damn hard.
I also highly recommend turning caddie volume to zero, he's an asshole.Comment

I did start with a Noob. Im just pretty good at this game, a lot better then Madden.
I cant win playing Match Play but I did finish the two Sponsor Challenges. The 4par Par 4s and 6putts took 8 tries before I finished it. I think I am on tour pro because I dont have Power boosts or anything like that.Comment
