Had my worst round in quite some time - a spectacular 84 in the 3rd round of the Dubai Open at The Els Club.
High winds, blazingly fast greens, tough pin positions.
The Els Club is an excellent, but difficult course which ends with a 611-yd par 5.
My first 2 rounds, I shot a 74, then a 70.
I'm dead last in the tourney at +12.
Ugh.

i have not played in a few days. On my first tourney of the PGA tour at the Hawaii Open where i shot a 74 (+2) in round 1, I came back in round 2 to shoot a 62 (-10) to put me at -8 after 2 rounds. The cut was -4 and i am in 26th place. The leader is -16

my goal was to make the cut. I came out playing great getting birdies on 6 of the first 9 holes.

Until you really get the hang of it keep scoring at "normal"

Some things Ive been messing with. I played Pro last night I think (one step up from the easiest level. I could still spin the ball and shit) but played SCORING on very low. I had to shot -53 to win and match guys birdie for birdie the entire way. 130 yard hole out for eagle helped me into the lead and also claimed my level 4 sponsor with Taylor Made. Now onto level one with Ping.

i think -18 is a reasonable score. meaning i think i have the hang of it. But the -33 for the leaders. what a joke

they didnt make this game any harder or challenging...they just gave it a cheese scoring system so the cpu will shoot horrendously low scores.

I've been too busy to play this but get at it once in a while. Thought I had things set with Low scoring on the Nationwide tour, scores just a few under and playing on the toughest difficulty played out nicely.

But if that's what it turns into...

i had the same result on the nationwide tour as u did using low scoring. But the PGA tour turned into that.

i am gonna switch it to normal for the next tourney. But i worry that my guy will out score them. he isnt even that skilled.

my 2nd tourney on the pga tour is at TPC at Scottsdale. Using normal scoring and i lowered my skills to 70 power and 50 everything else.
I am tied for the lead at -3

there are just 4 total players under par and 9 at even par. It was a much tougher round due to the heavy winds.

still, seems like EA needed a middle ground between normal and low scoring. Why not just include a slider for scoring instead of 4 settings that dont even do the job

sidenote about this round. no bogeys for me...3 birdies. only 6 FIR and 8 GIR. The greens played super easy today and my short game saved me
