You are all vastly underestimating the masterpiece that is Skyrim.

Funny you have such a strong opinion on a game that isn't even out yet.
But last time I checked this is a thread for SAINTS ROW 3. So again, who gives a fuck about Skyrim in this thread? Do I go in the Skyrim thread posting about this game clown?
In case you were having trouble finding the appropriate thread, I'll help you...
It's pretty fucking sad that now when you type in "skyrim" in the search bar this is the first thread that comes up.
:sigh:
For fucks sake. Go smoke a joint and/or protest somewhere.Comment

There are games I like, and games I don't like or care for. I am sure that the same applies for you, which is why all games aren't Elder Scrolls.
Look, I might play it, I might not. I've never played any of the previous Elder Scrolls game, and I am not big on RPGs. That is not me saying it won't be a great game. I imagine it will be, but its not a game I am in a rush to play.Comment

For instance. In GTA a side mission might be to escort someone somewhere, participate in a race or deliver a package. In SR they have side missions where you pretend to be a cop while someone films you (ala the show COPS) and the object is to murder as many people as possible with a certain weapon, like a chainsaw, to improve show ratings.
I see that you just have a PS3 so I would recommend checking out SR2. It's a fucking blast.Comment

GTA tries to be more serious, more realistic. SR tries to be off the wall.
SR2 also has co-op, which is excellent.
A good example would be a side mission. GTA 4 is take your annoying cousin to the rippers. SR2 is hijack a sewage truck and spray shit on houses.Comment

GTA sometimes moves so slow its unreal. I also never finished GTAIV because I lost interest, but I ran through Saints Row 2 and am probably going to start it again.Comment

A shame, get SR2 on the cheap and enjoy it.

I think I might play both games before this one comes out. At least to try to clean up some cheevos I missed. Finding some of those cars for the chop shop was crazy hard.Comment

The way I see it.......Saints Row doesn't try to win any awards. Its in your face action and is hilarious with what they do. You had to earn points for access to storyline missions. Those points are also earned from side missions, which included spraying homes and developments with a sewer truck, blowing things up to cause mayhem and property damage, insurance fraud by throwing your character in front of moving vehicles.

I'd get a fast car and just floor it into the scoring area (whcih was always an intersection) and get smashed and launch through the windshield into more traffic. Fucking comedy.Comment

Definitely. Knowing you they will be right up your alley. You won't be bored at all like you are with L.A. Noire.Comment
