Ok, so I 100% the first island/section. Finding that one gang takeover was a bitch. I figured it had to be on the roof on the building so I had to go to the airport and jack a plane to get to that motherfucker.

Then I went to the northeast island, which is still controlled by the first gang, and bought every property I could. The only one I don't own is the property at the airport that costs $50,000.

Now that I am balls deep in this game I can't get enough. I can't wait to get home and play some more.

I only really have one gripe with the game, but it is quite annoying. I fucking HATE the constantly respawning gang members. It gets so old doing a gang take over to only have members of that gang continue to show up infinitely after you have "finished" the takeover. It's even more of a pain in the ass when you're doing those "waves" things when someone calls you on the phone and asks for your help with depending something. It is all but guaranteed for you to lose your homies because they almost always just sit there and continue to fight when there is no limit to how many enemies the CPU will send at you.

In my opinion it really does marr an amazing game.

The always spawning gang members are to help you clean up/finish the Challenges.

If they didn't, and more specifically if you weren't on point with being an OCD completionist during the story, you would NEVER Plat/get all the Cheevos for the game.

EDIT: On you completed a Survival area (i.e., beat all the waves), just leave and come back.

Quite frankly, as much as I love the game they way they have handle DLC is pretty lame. Having a Season Pass and getting nothing to this point ir beyond stupid. I have a Season Pass but I have to pay for the shark attack ability? :number1:

And what ever happened to the 30 weeks of DLC or whatever it was they promised?

I actually found a bunch of links, that I can't link from work, and it was 40 weeks of DLC touted by THQ. But the game has been out since Octover and there has only been what, three items?

Anyway, I 100% North Colvin last night.

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the game keeping stats for certain things? I checked my challenges and it said I only had 15 Nut Shots which can't be accurate. I spent the first several hours of the game shooting people in the nuts and kept seeing the 'Nut Shot' XP bonus popping up in the upper right corner because I was trying to get the cheevo for the nut shot/testicle whatever combo. No way I've only done 15.

And how do you properly taunt gang members? It says I've done it ZERO times. I've walked up to them on the street and pressed left and right on the D-pad. I've done it during battles. I've done it over their lifeless corpses. But nothing.

Also, I've yet to utilize any of my homies (Shaundi, Oleg, Zimos) to help me besides the generic homies. If one of those names guys does in battle are they gone for good?

I started playing this last night. Like GTA, I find myself just playing randomly but I still have fun. I do slip in a mission once in awhile but I'm still learning how to play, the controls... etc.

Are you hitting the Weapon Melee button? It's R3 for the PS3 so I assume it's pushing it the Right Stick for Xbox.

You basically hit people in the balls it your gun if you do it right.

Just shoot them in the crotch after and the Cheevo should pop.

You gotta have NO Gang hostility when you do it (no Pink Stars) when you do it.

Once you do it successfully, either leave immediately or lose the stars after you finish fighting.

The game counts NOTHING ELSE towards the Challenge other than the FIRST taunt that starts the fight.

No, if you mean they die in a fight.

The game just charges you for their hospital bills and you gotta wait a little bit to use them again.

The same as if you call them to help you in a jam... you gotta wait a bit if you dismiss them.

I got the nut shot/testicle thing a while back. But I still can't get a singe fucking taunt to register. I'm still showing 0/50. I will walk out in the street right after leaving my crib, so I have ZERO notoriety, and I can't get this shit to work. I walk up to a gang member and taunt and nothing. I hope it;s not glitched.

I love the RPG elements of this game. Upgrading my weapons, characters and gang members is so fun. I just wish I could make money faster from my investments. I guess I could replay side missions.
