I just think it's funny that at this point in the 360's life it seems that every big release is multiple discs. And of course every 360 fanboy or 360 only owner is going to say "No big deal." Bullshit. How many huge installs are you going to be able to deal with? And if you play even a couple of games then what are you supposed to do, constantly delete the files and reinstall them? Fuck that.

I say it's no big deal because it isn't for me. I have a 120GB HDD, which isn't even near the biggest one available.

I typically play anywhere from 2-4 games at a time. Installed, that's 28GB at the most. I just deleted 22GB of LA Noire, so I have no issue with available space.

Twigg, GT5 had a large install as well. I think it was 9-10 GB. I see your point, but it is really only an issue if you have a 4GB console, which I feel sorry for you if you did get suckered into buying that one.

It's still a problem with a bigger HDD if you're installing multiple games.

I have 6-7 installed on mine. Ain't no thing. There's got to be at least one out of those you rarely ever play anyways.

It seems like a pretty big deal to me, especially if you have one of those 4GB consoles or limited space on hour HDD. Plus the article says "almost like" the PC and PS3 versions and they still won't tell you the size of the damn install, which I would imagine is significant considering the game is out in less than a week. ZERO CHANCE they don't know how big it is considering the game has already been pressed and in most cases sitting in store back rooms now. The fact that they won't tell you the size is alarming.

As for "a lot of PS3 games needing substantial installs", the last game I remember needing anything remotely substantial, besides the recent Rage's 8GB, was MGS4 and that was several years ago.

Bomberooski, I really think you should keep your eyes on this story. There's a reason EA has only been showing the PS3 console version at all trade shows.
