I'd get it twig since some of the guys here are getting it. If you liked the L4D campaigns, you'll like this even more, as the campaigns are better. The best thing about L4D, and what made me play at least 1000 hours into that game, was the competitive side of it.

I don't think that Dead Island has even a decent competitive mode.

Well I went to GameStop and Best Buy. GameStop wont have extra until tomorrow. Best Buy didn't have it anywhere, it was like they hadn't even put it out today. Maybe I'll go to Walmart later tonight and see if they have it.

Well I picked it up, but I think I'm going to watch some SoA and hit the hay. I'll definitely be up for some co-op tomorrow after 4pm central.

No local co-op.

If your buddy has a 360/PS3, you both can drop-in/drop-out of each other's game in a session.

Which is great if you both are the same level or are one level above/below each other.

You CAN'T, however, join a level 30 character if you're level 2 for example but he or she can join you.

It's weird but you can start a new character save if you both want to stay at the same pace.

Love the game. Love it. The only complaint I have is no local coop, which is bullshit in 2011. But the actual gameplay is fantastic...
