    Pass.
the giantbomb guys weren't too thrilled about it either. no decent launch games.

they are not black screens of death...lulz. During gameplay (SMB and Ghost Recon) the game can stop and give you a black screen. restart the system to fix. It is totally random as of now and a firmware update they say will fix.

Yeah I got my deposits back from gamestop yesterday.....the employees at those stores just suck.

Yeah, I just listened to that last night. Like Brad said, if there was even ONE game worth having I might've still bought it at launch.

Plus I think I saw another article on Kotaku or Joystig that said you can finish Pilotwings and Monkeyball in 4 hours total.

Huh? Neither Ghost Recon or any Super Mario title is even out yet?

Well, duh. Some of them are decent but the majority are toolbags.

I'm actually surprised to see these things aren't selling out. It's a Nintendo device for chrissake. I have to admit that I would enjoy seeing it fall flat though. Seeing Reggie Fils Amie try to spin the lackluster sales would be priceless. I can't stand that douche.

I also think it's an EPIC FAIL that they decided to launch the system without the e-shop being ready. Really? And you want people to think you are really, really, really serious about online this time?

Nintendo confirmed this morning that first-day 3DS sales in the U.S. were the highest of any Nintendo hand-held system in its history. The company, however, would not provide an exact number today. It will reveal first-week U.S. sales early next month.

Oh, gotcha. I didn't think Ghosr Recon was a launch game but apparently it is.

Intetesting. Could itbe possible that a company actually met demand for a console launch in...ever?

Apparently the Nintendo president issued a press release recently basically saying that sales have NOT met their expectations. Interesting how they go from bragging about how it's the best selling console in their history and a month later it isn't meeting expectations.

I did actually get to play one today at a Best Buy. I only played for literally two minutes and it was just Pilotwings but I was impressed. I went from not caring about the thing to wanting one, granted whenever they actually release at at least one awesome game for it.

I still think Nintendo seriously fucked up by only including one stick and not implementing some sort of achievement/trophy system.

Ok, so the three major things that I thinked Nintendo seriously dropped the ball with this thing, minus the complete lack of games at launch, are:

                  1) Only one stick (or circle pad, or whatever the fuck). Seriously? WTF were you thinking Nintendo? People have been complaining that the biggest downfall of the PSP was only one stick. Idiots.

                  2) No trophies/cheevos. Again, this was your chance to really update your brand with something that this generation clamors for. They could've implemented something that could've continued with their next console, Project Cafe'. But instad they drop the ball again. Morons.

                  3) A stylus. I seriously think Nintendo is fucking clueless. It has to be their Japanese, stuck in the 90's mentality I guess. But why is Sony so forward thinking with their next handheld? How in this day and age do you release a new handheld with a fucking styles when every fucking disposable mobile phone has a touch screen? Has anyone ever played any action game on the DS that requires the stylus? Nothing like playing a fighting game or and action game that requires you to touch the bottom screen with a stylus while you are pounding away on the face buttons.

Couple this with the fact that the battery life sucks dong and they will probably release a revised version in a year or less, ala Apple.

I would love to get one but there are just too many big negatives that are holding me back.

there is no draw to getting one of these. I enjoy my ipad games just as much and they are all less than $5. Also with the PSP2 dropping soon there is really no reason to buy this now.

Yeah, but the 3D is fucking pretty damn cool and no other console, handheld or otherwise do it glasses free like this. Plus the giant game nerd in me wants the latest and greatest, but I...must...resist.

Oh, yeah, and the fact that the eShop wasn't available at launch is a fucking joke.

After playing a ton of RE6 with Dizzle I was in the RE mood so I fired up RE Revelations. This game is much more "old school". The combat is much better but you have the puzzles and over all feel and tension of the older games. I just finished chapter four I think and I'm really enjoying it. It says I'm at just over five hours of play time and I was surprised to see that the game has like twelve chapters. Pretty impressive for a handheld game. It looks pretty damn good too.

I saw a few rumors last week saying the game was being ported to 360 and PS3 which is good news for RE fans.

I'm seriously contemplting picking up Mario Gold which releases on May 2nd. It looks awesome and appears to be one of only a few Nintendo games to offer DLC and a Season Pass. The game will offer 10 courses (126 holes) and the three DLC packs will offer an additional 108 holes.

It's also only $30 ($24 with Best Buy GCU) as opposed to most 3DS games that are $35-40.

And by the way, A Link Between Worlds is amazing.

I can't really look it up at work, is that old or new? Is it like the GBA one? That game was tits.

I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one here that loved ALBW. I beat it in a day. Best game on the 3DS, and maybe my favorite of last year.
