Of course I can finish a league, but why am I going to play in a league with a game that sucks? Enjoy your time in the sun because if EA ever fixes Madden and all the true players come back you'll be back at the bottom of the food chain.

1. I'll believe it when I see it or if you can have someone back you up in saying you're a solid owner in leagues.

2. I will continue to enjoy my time in leagues no matter if I suck or not. If the game sucks, will not have an effect on me being committed to a league.

3. You will have to let me know what league it will be (doubt it will be the TGT). Have never been at the bottom of any league I've played in, but there is always the possibility of being beat.

You do realize that MLB the Show is a fundamentally sound game, right?

And by some logic unknown to me, Madden can never be this despite it being decent at certain points during it's 20 or so year franchise.

As you can see in Leaffan's comments, much like myself, we played a fuck ton of PC Madden during that era, it was pretty damn fun at one point.

And stop acting as if MLB is without problems, I could give you a fuck ton of issues with the game. Lets just ignore the vast online problems that they can't seem to resolve, piss poor offline GM AI, Free Agent 2013 bug, terrible repetitive and bland RTTS, horrible clipping, Tampa Bay bullpen crashses,....

Yeah, lets pretend MLB the Show has none of these issues and that 4-5 times the amount of people play Madden to the Show. :screams:

Not sure what last-gen has to do with current-gen. My point in the statement being, MLB plays well as a baseball simulation, while Madden still has glaring fundamental issues and inadequacies. Everything you pointed out wrong with MLB are non-gameplay related issues. I don't have a PS3 to say anything about any long lasting mode. I've only played it head-to-head and RTTS for a week's time. But I understand that it has it's issues, and it's a complaint in it's own. But has nothing to do with me bringing up the game.

The guys working on these "little things" have separate roles from the others working on gameplay, franchise, etc, but Madden is pointing some of these things out like they need to be. Like it's important. Like this is what's going to make me want to buy Madden come August 30th.

So because Madden 11 had fundamental issues, Madden 12 can't not have them? You've played the game?

You want some bullshit about MLB gameplay? How about online being completely fucking dead ball with the entire online community batting .150 throwing 20K's a game? How about the HR ratio of hits being through the roof? How about the entire lack of control over fielding and it being completely out of the players hands? How about the fact thats run right through each other besides two scripted animations? How about the fact that it took until patch 1.06 to fix the fact that the ball going off a fielders glove over the wall is a homerun? Agonizingly slow transition animations that will grant extra unearned bases? Quick stealing cheese? Quick pitch lag? Fastball is auto selected when someone goes to the bullpen online? New analog batting and fielding controls?


Is that enough for you? Or can we stop playing pretend now?

Compared to now where I'm lucky to get 5hours of gaming in a week I used to get like 40 to 50 hours a week in of just madden alone.

Respectable, I'll give you that and you do have me beat on the PC side as I have never played Madden on PC. Without going into depth though, I've been putting up pretty much the same amount of time into Madden over the past 10 years (minus 07-08).
