I have to admit at first I didnt care about the NGP but you can call me officially interested after the game lineup I have heard. I also heard that they will have a trophy system tied to PSN. I know all this is probably old news but it seems intriguing. Also looking forward to hearing about Twisted Metal. I played the hell out of Twisted Metal 2 back in the day lolComment

Yeah, Sony actually seems to be doing things right with their next handheld, in direct contrast to what Nintendo is doing. Nintendo did improve their online but seemed to regress with everything else. No trophies/cheevos and only one analog stick. Fucking morons. And they wonder why sales aren't meeting their expectations.
The thing that is going to make or break the NGP is the price. The latest rumor is that the non-3G version is going to be "comparable" to the 3DS. So you know the version with 3G is going to be at least three bills. I don't care how impressive the system is (even though they recently announced it will be less impressive with half the RAM they initially reported) there aren't many people that are willing to drop $300 on a handheld.Comment

This is pretty great!

Hey, I'm a fan of the God of War games, but I have zero interest in playing the reportedly excellent PSP versions because of the gimped controls. Maybe I'll finally get around to them on my NGP, since Eurogamer is reporting the PSP successor will have full compatibility, with some perks, too.
In addition to simply running existing PSP games via software emulation, NGP enhances them by allowing access to the second analog stick. That'd be awful useful in God of War when Kratos needs to roll away or in Resistance: Retribution, when camera control is mapped to, er, buttons. Gross.
You'll also have the ability to upscale the visuals, too, which means they may even look better!
Between this and the PSP Remaster series, which I'm expecting we'll hear about at E3, Sony seems to be offering plenty of new ways to take another look at PSP's existing library.Comment

But how will it work if the games are on UMD's?
I would love to finally play through Resistance Retribution with two sticks. I didn't really have any problems with the GoW games.Comment
