Honestly wouldn't it be cheaper to just turn your phone into a 3G or 4g hotspot and connect the vita through there? If You have Verizon wont have to deal with AT&T.Comment

I think I've decided that I want the wi-fi only version. The fact that you have to sign up for the 3G service for a minimum of 30 days to get your free copy of Super Stardust pushed me over the edge.Originally posted by MVPete1982

I was at bestbuy today and they had a Vita out that your could fuck with. Since my BB is usually empty i was able to spend about 20-30 mins with it. At first ti was akward to held but then got used to it pretty quickly. The back panel is smooth like glass which dont like....I tried little deviants with the back panel game and it was just a weird control.
I tried almost every demo.
Uncharted - really good...probably the best game for the system. Felt like UC.
Virtua tennis - meh...same game as the dreamcast one.
Escape Plan - fun little touch game. probably would be 2-3 on a phone or ipad. I liked it
Mod Nation - exactly what you expect from this game with no online. I dont like cart racers.
Gravity Rush - WTF is this game? Cats, gravity shifting.......not for me.
Wipeout - actually liked this game but the load times for each track are over a minute....WTF?
Touch screen is amazingly responsive, screen is nice a bright and sound seems to be pretty good for a handheld. Pressing the PS screen immediately exits you to the home screen. I wonder if you hit it buy accident if ti will exit your game and you cant get back. The analog sticks are very short but have a nice resistance to them. The xo buttons are very small but ok. You basically have to keep your pointer fingers on the shoulder buttons otherwise you will hitting the back pad which might do something you dont want.
The system seems nice but the price of the games are all about $10 too much. Wipeout, rayman, and most others should be $29.99....with some others in the $19.99 range. No game is worth $50 on a handheld unless has a robust online capability. The memory cards are also way too high but that makes up for this system not being more expensive i guess.
I cancelled my preorder at gamestop and pickup a 16 GB card. I expect to pick this up at some point. I have around $380 in gift cards/points at Bestbuy so I will wait for a deal there. I want a gift card or something......
Oh yeah so far the carrying cases are shit so far. BB and GS had a bunch of games and stuff for sale. They best deal so far is Target B2G1F sale.....hit that up on wed when all the games drop but I will mostly download alot. I dont want to be fumbling with fucking cards on the go.
If you buy uncharted.....or anything else i would imagine reselling them on ebay would be the way to go for getting some cash back on these overpriced games. Shipping is really easy with these things.

true but 16GB should be enough. If they game is really large like 4+GB then it would be wise i guess to buy the cart. But most games being 1-2 GBs and downloadable only games being smaller you could fit quite a bit on there. How many games can you play at once? You can delete them and redownload them. The problem with that is that if you delete them then i think you delete your game save....which SUX! I kind of hope i can just transfer them to the PS3 and transfer them back if it is a game with an important save. I hope someone will figure that out.
Yeah i hardly ever replay games i have beat unless the game has online coop. So yeah i sell games alot on ebay.Comment

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you can disable the back touch screen and just use buttons.
That could only be for FIFA because I heard GB talking about it.

well buying a system nowadays is different b/c of the interwebz. I have watched/read a fair share of articles/video previews that i know exactly what i am getting.
Right now there isnt a game out there that I am crazy for. Rayman or F1 possibly? I am buying it for the games. I have an ipad so i dont need it to do anything else but play awesome games.
Once the show drops I will buy 1 for sure....as I like playing that game on the go. I am not around my couch enough to put them time into it.
Bottom line the system is what i expected after doing my research. The screen is great, the touch is great, the controls are great....the games are so so for now and over priced. Once some great games start to drop this system should be amazing as the system seems very powerful....MvC looks just as good as the PS3 counterpart.
LI would love a solid RPG on this thing. NHL or Madden could be great. Infamous, God Of War, Motorstorm, Batman, GTA, or anything of that sort could be amazing on the go. I watched on GTrailers that COD will be coming out of Vita. With Dual sticks and online via wifi....could be sweet.
Me personally..The show, Madden, a solid driving game, and a Torchlight like game or RPG would make me happy.Comment
