Youtube App coming to the Vita at the end of June.
Hopefully more apps make their way to the vita, and they start pumping out some good apps!
That's cool. Yeah, they definitely need to step it up on the app front. Although I'm not sure how much I would use them. The only one I really use now is the Twitter one. I like being able to post screen shots from games.
I know Resistance has been getting a lot of flak but I'm really enjoying the campaign. I think I'm nearing the end of chapter 4. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the chick voicing Ellie in Burning Skies is the same chick that voiced the female character in Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Unfortunately I don't think either game is listed on IMDb.

Well it depends what the app is obviously. I mean Netflix looks so great on that screen. Imagine what an mlb at bat app, or an app like that where you can access your live streaming subscriptions.
takes place during 1765-1780 in the period between the end of the french and indian war
one of the bullet points is that it's "true AC gameplay"
will not connect to desmond
will have "multiplayer specifically tailored to the vita experience"
"the game has been released as a propaganda tool by Abstergo, who want players to experience a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict as an assassin rather than a templar"
Aveline's mentor is an escaped slave named Agate, leader of the assassins in New Orleans
Wildlife like alligators "wait on the banks of the swamp or hide beneath murky waters"
Liberation will also take players across the Gulf into Mexico"
Game will take place in "Large gameplay areas, you can run, climb, fight, and explore the entirety of New Orleans without loading a new area."
The first Assassin's Creed game for the PlayStation Vita will also be the first to feature a female assassin in the lead role. As detailed by Game Informer subscribers on NeoGAF, the newest issue of the magazine details Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, set for release alongside Assassin's Creed III this October.
Set around the mid-to-late 18th century, Liberation stars Aveline, a mixed heritage assassin whose travels will take her from New Orleans to Mexico. Developed by Ubisoft Sofia (Prince of Persia Trilogy HD), the game will reportedly feature "true Assassin's Creed gameplay," with a focus on large gameplay areas free of loading screens.
The reveal of a female Assassin's Creed lead, especially one set around the same Revolutionary War time period as Assassin's Creed III, is surprising given >recent comments from that game's creative director Alex Hutchinson. In March, Hutchinson addressed calls for a female lead, saying, "It's always up in the air. I think lots of people want it, [but] in this period it's been a bit of a pain. The history of the American Revolution is the history of men… It felt like, if you had all these men in every scene and you're secretly, stealthily in crowds of dudes [as a female assassin], it starts to feel kind of wrong. People would stop believing it"
Expect more details on Assassin's Creed: Liberation to be revealed during GameSpot's live stream of Ubisoft's E3 media briefing Monday at 3 p.m. PST.
Awesome news. That reminds me. I still want to play the AC PSP game. That's two PSP games thet they need to make available as downloads, AC and Resistance.
Speaking of Resistance, I really like it. I have a few more chapters of the campaign left and it's been solid. Nothing spectacular but a very nice addition to the series. After the patch the multiplayer seems to be flawless. I've played about fifteen matches so far and there wasn't so much as a hiccup. My only gripe is that the Mule, the crossbow/shotgun weapon in the game, is way overpowered. The best part is that I'm only a few trophies away from my platinum. :brianwilson:
The power of the IGN community strikes again! This time, news comes from NKilburne, who has informed us that both Walmart and Amazon have posted new information about the upcoming PlayStation Vita exclusive Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.
First off, its price. Both Amazon and Walmart have Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified listed as costing $49.96, officially making it the most expensive game on the platform (along with Uncharted: Golden Abyss' original price). Unfortunately, its release date is marked as December 31, 2012, no doubt a placeholder.
Also on both sites is a brief description: “Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions. Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.”
What does it all mean? Well, it appears that Declassified is going to play much like Unit 13, the Zipper Interactive-created PlayStation Vita game that revolved around bite-sized shooter missions (albeit in third-person). Multiplayer has also been confirmed. This isn’t exactly a huge surprise, but it does confirm that what will likely be the most important aspect of Declassified – its multiplayer functionality – will indeed be in the game.
Also confirmed is the obvious -- Activision is involved as the publisher -- though the developer of the game is still unknown.
We’ve reached out to Sony for official comment, and will update if and when we hear back.
See, this is what I get for skipping cutscenes during my second and third playthrough - apparently there was an in-game blooper added that you'll see AFTER your first playthrough (or maybe it's just on Crushing, I'm not sure).
Picked up the Vita again last night and got some Hot Shots Golf in. SO good.
Man, those fucking Bronze tourneys are no fucking joke!
Also, LOL at Activision charging an extra $10 for CoD. I was super pissed hen Sony did it with Uncharted and I'm not surprised those money hungry fucks at Activision are doing the same thing. And how much do you want to bet that the game won't have any Elite functionality, even though they said ALL CoD games going forward would.
