Although EA/Madden abandoned the throwing cone I think that could have evolved into a more realistic passing system. Imagine you line up pre-snap, and are auto looking at your primary (with the cone) or at the line you can choose who you want to focus on first. After snap, you cycle through your targets by pressing their normal buttons, causing your cone to snap over to them, very simple yes? Then you have like LT or RT or whatever as the "throw" button. This eliminates the goofy RS mechanic that didn't work, but keeps the benefit of having "QB vision".

Bringing that back would eliminate the need for LB super jumps because the unrealistic ability to distribute the ball anywhere, instantly, would no longer be present.

Just my 2 cents on passing.
    :applause:

Best take I have heard on it yet.

I think teh vision cone in Madden was very "MaddenMania", a move in the right direction but shitty implementation and it was given up on only to go away later.

I fyou don't mind I might copy and paste this to a thread at OS if you haven't done so already.

Which one? It seems they have a different imprression thread for every aspect of the game....and they all seem to have "NO QUESTIONS/DISCUSSION" in the title.

I went to GS to pick up my copy..there was a dad and his two sons ahead of me in line trading in their PS2 and their 98(NINETY-EIGHT) games.

                      98 GAMES.
Stood in line for 30 minutes, just to say "Hey. I'm picking up this game I've already paid for. Thanks."

                      smh...i'm starting it up now.

I like heisman. I use default and seeing pretty good games. nothing crazy. Still probably need a slider adjustment here or there, but nothing major at the moment

my biggest problem with Heisman as I feel like it affects the players ratings.....like bad defenses are all of a sudden viable and decent and great players dont seems that great anymore.

In NCAA football we all know if you sign that stud that he can DOMINATE just like real life. I never felt that happened in some of our Heisman seasons.

On OS.com some are saying that the release day patch disables uniform degradation. Anyone here have the patch and played on natural grass in the rain? If so....how do they look?

Dumb ass patches and half ass final build is why you can't play this game for over a month after release.

it is pretty much the way the develop games now....shame. If it was PC it would not be a problem as they can patch very quickly but these console patches take weeks.
