Someone compromised my Windows Live login and password, from logging into any number of websites. They then logged into their Xbox with my profile and downloaded a shit ton of content for FIFA 11 in-game using my points.

This is exactly why I feel iffy about keeping Points on my account. I tend to either try and sue them all right away or wait until i can use them all. I was hacked one time but luckily caught it in time. I have a code that you have to enter in order to sign into xbox live, if you recover the gamertag on another console do you still need to input that code?

That's what I said. Pretty stupid. I know when you go to download something in-game it just takes you to the marketplace anyway. I also don't know why there is a way to constantly keep track of your spending? For instance, I should be able to go back a month and see how many points I had at that time and what purchases I made to bring me to my current balance. Like a bank statement. PSN does that shit.

Just going to go ahead and point out the obvious here.

They stole your live account password somehow. Probably through your comp since that seems like the popular choice these days. Datamining is the biggest issue out there at this point.

Went onto fifa and bought a bitch load of player packs. Then took the players from those packs and just traded them off to another team or sold them on the marketplace and never played a single game. Luckily they can't get your credit card info since that shit is secured.

              Leafs offseason training!

I think it was a phishing site actually. Possibly from Facebook? I vaguely remember trying to tie my Live friends list into my FB account a while back and I couldn't get the app to work. I'm betting that was it.

Hopefully at the very least this will prevent this shit from happening to other people.

I got my first 360 banned for kinda doing the same thing. I would take best buy giftcards that ended in 2016 and use it as a creditcard. Buy $50 of microsoft points every time. What happens is that they would never take the money off the gift card and you were able to do this unlimited times. I probably took about $700 worth of points away from microsoft. I would change my name basically every couple of hours to fuck with people. (this is when the 360 first came out, so none of this stuff works anymore)

                        Possibly.

You don't know how many times a week I deal with people who's facebooks, hotmail, gmail ect ect have been hacked and its pretty much all the same thing. People simply refuse to update critical things such as adobe flash and java just because they don't know any better at this point. Whats even worse is its hitting the mac community hard because everyone of them thinks they can't get viruses.

                        Leafs keys to success:

                        - Have a basic antivirus (MS Security Essentials, AVG Free, (although its slow as balls on most systems these days or avast)
                        - Try and make an effort to update adobe flash and even adobe reader once a month or every two months on anything that uses flash (PC, Mac, android phone) oh and update java once in a while to.
                        - For the love of christ have different passwords for things. Even if you add a number to the end of it just to make it different will work.
                        - Change your password for things about once a year. Don't worry about changing it on vsn though... we all know the database will just crash again

I've never had missing points or anything like that, but according to EA i've played games like NBA Elite 11? lol

I change my Live password monthly though, so I imagine whoever did make that happen no longer accesses my account.

You'll know it if you have to recover your gamer tag.

Probably.....I wouldn't ever use an App on Facebook even if they paid me. Myspace was actually worse with the codes to put in for your background. I just use it for the chat feature and to keep in touch with a few people I don't see very often.

I usually never fuck with that shit either but I liked having my ps3 trophies on there and wanted something similar for xbox. You better believe I won't try that shit again.
