took a few screens of the pc version. I am playing on the highest possible settings. originally i had to keep PhysX on low cause anything higher and i got some annoying screen tearing. But nvidia released a update for the drivers late night on the release day of BL2 and after that i was able to run PhysX on high...it makes a difference
golden chest in sanctuary....it sure looks like every other chest

Just finished Assasinate the Assasins - did it with a fried (Zero & Axton) - tough battle - died once. Picked up a tasty little combat rifle (purple - LVL 10) 48 dmg + Explosive damage on every shot - 60+ magazine, fire rate around 8, plus the zoom is probably around 2.5X so good for longer range suppressing fire (in that range). The rifle looks like a Sturmgewehr with a sight (and a purple glow to it as well) - Sweet!
Do we need to get a sticky for "Best Weapons"/"Mods"/etc. found in Borderlands????Comment

By the way, anyone notice Gearbox decided to leave off the zoom rating of the scopes? For Sniper rifles, you have to test fir them to check out the magnification, unless I am missing something. (Could be since I didn't know about some of the inventory options until last nite - Reading is Fundamental!!)Comment

So Brink, Pad, Donny, another random who's still trying to mooch corrosive weapons off of us (other than that, it's another gun against Hyperion forces and that's never a bad thing) and myself managed to...
Seriously, spoilers.
Save Roland last night
...it was like everything you could have ever wanted in an epic battle and more.
Brink kept egging on the game to throw bigger and badder enemies at us and it did just that.
Luckily all of our characters ROFLstomped those bastards for the most part (a lot of rezzing involved) and saved the day.
Again, spoilers
Funny thing is, you can fail the saving Roland mission and then have to chase him down to The Dust zone area to finish the quest off.
I don't think he dies but knowing that after all the time you put into trying to rescue him can result in initial abject failure intrigues me.
When Donny and Brink left, Pad, the random and I went on a little bit and stumbled upon...
Once more with feeling, SPOILERS
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reference.
It was awesome.
I also got a gun that talks.Comment

Hey Jay,
Med, Swarley and I failed at saving Roland the first time and had to chase to the Dust area. We were just overwhelmed by robots!!! Roland doesn't die and the Dust area is much easier.I give rep not thanks

I may have to go back then - I ran through that section with my brother pretty quickly an d probably missed a bunch of stuff. Problem is, all the stuff is probably level 5-8 and i'm now at 11, so it may not be worth the trouble. I'll find one eventually....Comment

Pad, Brink, the random and I luckily had the right gear to stomp those bums out the first time.
I have an electric grenade that sticks into the ground that electricutes anything that stands near it until they leave the area (they usually don't because they die before then).
Add in corrosives (I dunno what Brink [as Zero] was carrying but it was good enough to demolish metal and Pad had a hell of a sniper rifle with I think fire damage... he's also playing the Siren so Phaselocks all around)...
And it turned out easier than I thought.
It's still Playthrough 1 though.
The game is so ridiculously rad that I have to put off playing it or else I'm going to run through it too quickly when I'm not busy.Comment
