round 7 has been kicking my ass. i keep running out of ammo and they dont give enough drops to keep me going.

i have a question about the sidequest getting to know jack

 

you have to get 5 recordings and the final one is on a giant windmill. you have to hit a lever to start up the windmill to make the rakk holding the recorder come out....then shoot him and get the recorder. I shot him and the recorder fell right next to a giant overpass beam...i could not get close enough to pick the dam thing up and there was nothing i could do so i restarted my game.

Now when i got back to the windmill where the recorder is sitting, the dam lever to power up the windmill is red and i cant turn the switch on.....am I just glitched out of this now or is there some trick to getting that switch to power up the windmill?

I know they've all beaten it once and have multiple characters that are still higher level than my ONE character.

I'm with you Brink. I just haven't had time to play. Plus the fact that I have two versions. I'm a level 18 on both versions I believe.

i have a question about the sidequest getting to know jack

I think you are glitched unfortunately. The same thing happened to me awhile back and when I was looking around on forums I found no fix to the problem other than reloading a save and trying again.

sadly i have completed the game....all i got left is that getting to know jack glitched quest, round 5 of the Ore circle of slaughter and some postal quest for zed you have to complete in less than 2 minutes. Finished at level 35.

how do i start a new game now that i unlocked vault hunter mode?

Once you've peeled through Jack and his clone(s), you now have to fight "The Warrior."

Those who've seen it know how cheap that son of a bitch is.

The key is this:

You need a high enough shield that when you eventually take damage (and you will), you'll be able to swallow that shit and keep plugging away.

If you're a Gunzerker, you can Spec so you'll get more and more health as you tank shots.

Having both will do in a jiffy.

Another good shield to have might be the Firehawk shield you get earlier on from the Cult sidemissions as it should give you IMMUNITY FROM FIRE DAMAGE.

As the Warrior and the Fire Crystalisks attack you, it should keep you save from any fire element shots you take.

Fighting the Warrior SPOILER

 

The chest plate is the key.

Keep shooting at it until you knock off the scales and then keep plugging away until he dives back into the lava.

From there, reposition above the lava so you don't die from that and/or The Warrior surfacing right above you.

Rinse-repeat the Chest Plate shots (Jack will even bitch and complain about The Warrior not protecting itself from your fire so that should be a BIG hint) until you kill The Warrior and get your fat reward of LOOTZ

Click "Continue" at the main menu. It should ask you whether you want to continue on "Normal Mode" or "True Vault Hunter Mode."
