I'm loving the demo thus far. I'll post some impressions later.

I am enjoying it.
A few things I noticed that I don't like are:
Kick returns seem overly difficult. It doesn't help matters that it seems the CPU knows which way you are moving and mirrors your moves as soon as you do them. I was using Hester and couldn't do anything.
QB's take way too long to get rid of the ball under pressure. This is an issue with NCAA but seems worse in the Madden demo. There were several times I was pounding on a receiver button only to have Cutler get sacked or wait until he was about to get sacked and barely throw the ball two yards.Comment

I'm not talking about scrambling. I'm talking about staying in the pocket and being under pressure. It's like an animation kicks in that is so slow in developing and the QB just won't get rid of the ball.Comment

I scrambled with Rodgers for a TD like 30 yards out. Of course I had like 4 guys in front of me on the play call and wide open field. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
"rammer" and "cummings"
The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.Comment

I've played about 5 games so far and I'm loving it. There's no question NCAA is going bye bye in favor of Madden this year. All of the issues I had with NCAA are non existent here. The ball trajectory is good so you don't have the super LBs. I haven't seen an instance where the ball hits the receiver in the head with no attempt to catch it. Pass protection looks better. There's more realistic pressure off the edge. The game plays smoother and the UI is also smoother.
I'm in love with it so far. My only issue is that you can still rocket catch, but whatever, I gave up hope for EA removing that a long time ago.Comment

Its ok. Better than that pile of shit, NCAA 12.
Ive seen, twice WRs get hit in the helmet with no attempt at a catch.
I saw 3 linemen stand around doing nothing multiple times.
Cutler sucks and is a pick machine like in real life.
CPU came back from 28-3 in the last 2 1/2 mins to end the game, 28-23... crazy.
Woodson in man coverage will get destroyed by a fast receiver.
Much tighter and smoother controls than last year and NCAA 12.
Does anyone know if the option to use the trigger buttons during preplay will be in the retail?
Still hate that you cant throw the ball before the receivers in position because the DBs automatically go to that spot no matter if theyve seen the ball or not.
Im on the fence.Comment

I just played against all madden first game and got rocked. I like how the defense plays together as a team it seams if one guy gets lost on his man the closes guy will pick him up if he needs tooTHe MaDDeN GoD
