Official Madden 12 Demo Impressions Thread

This has always been a problem with Madden/NCAA because the default quarter length is 5 and they want to get to realistic scores/stats out of that shortened time frame. So ya you'd have to struggle with sliders if you want big plays and things like that toned down.

I know. It's always been disappointing. You have to F with sliders and when you adjust for realism in one area it just skews realism in another.

Some of the stuff people are talking about (Peppers getting a sack untouched) is stuff that we'd see in real games, so maybe now we're at a point with Madden where some of the stuff we complain about is the same stuff a coach would complain about when watching game film after an actual game.

Yea, from an aesthetics standpoint the shit looks very good, especially the close ups on players after the plays. Players look massive and lifelike. What they need to add is mouthpieces though but thats some nit picky shit. I cant remember if Forte had his pacifier mouth piece or not but thats a big deal (on a lower scale) when trying to create authenticity. Eddie George had his on Madden 01 I think it was.

I like how the players look bigger and bulkier than their NCAA counterparts. I had considered keeping ncaa all year and not getting madden before TGT was announced im glad i waffled on that now. I found holes i could drive a truck through in the running game, i didnt have these last year so i like the blocking with pausing and breaking down details of what they are doing OS style.

Julius Peppers ran untouched past my LT and LG as well as Grant to sack me. The blocking is just as bad as it was before.

Pepper does that in real life sometimes lol lets be honest.......

I think that after the freshness of the cutscenes wears off and the presentation in general, the same problems and complaints will surface.

The game plays well , as did '11 but after playing a couple of games it no longer seems fresh. Its just another Madden. Its a football game, not a great one, not a poor one. Albeit, the only one really.

Its a demo, but I don't see the regular game being better. Like I said before, maybe its the camera being out so far and perception is alot of the presentation.

I will still buy the game, I always do and always have.

Although not as graphically aesthetic, 2k8 still plays better.
