Here's a note from one of the DirecTV customer service agents that I read on another forum. Hopefully they will have this addressed by next week.

I'm pretty sure they replay the best games later and the next day and they also have Shortcuts, which are replays of the games cut down to 30 minutes. The only thing they show are the plays. No incompletions, penalties, challenges, etc. At least that's what they do on DirecTv.

Sunday Ticket To Go was also "iffy." At first it worked fine but then slowed down and wouldn't even let me load games. It started to work again for the afternoon games.

I tried it on the iPad and iPhone and neither worked much better, if any, than the PS3 until the afternoon games started. Based on what I was reading on the DirecTV forums, it sounded like they shut off all interactive applications for their satellite subscribers so that they could take that additional traffic off of their internal network and try to help the streaming customers. By the afternoon games, most people had got given up and were just watching OTA or had gone to a bar.

DirecTV has no choice but to add major backhaul to their network in under a week. Depending on how they have their servers located, it could be relatively easy (if collocated in a carrier's facility) or more time consuming (hosted at their location).

I used to be on this board all the time, now I lurk. This place has turned into a shit-hole anyway. Plus I have a real job, life outside of work and the internet and I am not playing GT5 or Uncharted or CoD right now. And even if I play a game, I usually just directly contact the guys I know through PM, IM or cellphone. Saw the Sunday Ticket thread and it got me interested in using the forum again. Plus not all of us are up past midnight on a Sunday.

So does anyone actually want to tell us if the Sunday Ticket has extras during the week or do we just want to whine?

I am at work, once I get home tonight I will try to look into what we can do post game.

I honestly don't think a lot of those features will be available tonight. You gotta remember, the MLB.tv app was introduced last year and it had it's share of problems, that were fixed after the All-Star break and this year its gotten better.

Sunday Ticket will have it's growing pains, but fixing these problems won't take long, especially since there is so much downtime between games in the NFL. Directv will just have to start making fixes, which it look like it was doing yesterday afternoon. And PSN is going to offer a credit to our accounts. In a couple weeks, we will probably all be fapping away at the service.
