Wasn't it adembroski's job to make sure that shit didn't happen? FAIL.
This may be something to do with the NCAA roster we're using. I haven't gone back to look at the stock roster to see if this kid is rated that high, but maybe we need to edit down the kickers ratings a little.

With the non-Golden Shower draft class file, it turned out a little different. The draft order being different may have something to do with it, but I doubt it. The Lions still picked in the top 3, but they drafted a QB this time. Drew Butler, the punter that won't go away, was drafted 12th overall by the Bears.

Here is the breakdown of the first round. I'll post some other notables but not quite to the depth as last time.

Browns - Andrew Luck QB- Stanford
Lions - Brandon Weeden QB - Oklahoma St.
Seahawks - Ryan Lindley QB - SD St
Cowboys - Dre Kirkpatrick CB - Alabama
Panthers - Mark Barron SS - Alabama
Dolphins - Landry Jones QB - Oklahoma
Titans - Nigel Bradham ROLB - Fl St
Bills - Nate Poter LT - Boise
Cardinals - Addison Lawrence RT - Ms St
Colts - Jaye Howard DT - Florida
Jaguars - Audie Cole - NC St
      Bears - Drew Burler - P - Georgia
Redskins - Marc Tyler HB - USC
      49ers - Jamell Fleming CB - Oklahoma
Bucs - Vince Browne RE - Northwestern
Broncos - Brandon Lindsey RE - Pitt
Steelers - Mark Asper RT - Oregon
Saints - Donald Stephenson LT - Oklahoma
Giants - Chase Thomas LOLB - Stanford
Raiders - James Brooks LE Arizona St
Falcons - Paul Vassallo ROLB - Arizona
Vikings - Christian Scott SS - Texas
Ravens - George Iloka SS - Boise
Bengals - Sam Proctor FS - Oklahoma
Lions - Julian Miller LE - WVU
Eagles - Manti Teo MLB - Notre Dame
Texans - Damien Jackson FS - Ole Miss
Patriots - Alshon Jeffery WR - South Carolina
Panthers - Johnnie Troutman LG - Penn State
Chiefs - Trent Richardson HB - Alabama
Chargers - Steven Johnson LOLB - Kansas
Rams - Devier Posey WR - Ohio State

Kellen Moore went in the 3rd round to Tampa. Floyd must not like having Crist throw to him because he keeps going deep in the draft. 5th round this time to the Seahawks. I'll post some overalls here in a few.

Alrighty, so what I'm thinking about doing is going into the NCAA roster and lowering punter and kickers ratings a little, then doing this experiment again. I'll probably get to that this weekend.

Here are a few of the notable overalls from this recent draft class import. This was from my Air Force dynasty, so none of the players that mean anything were touched by a user.

        QBs

Brandon Weeden 85 - Good choice by the Lions; his injury rating is a 74 though, so maybe they're in for more of the same.
        Andrew Luck 85
        Ryan Lindley 84
        Landry Jones 81

        RBs

        Trent Richardson 80
        Vick Ballard 79

        WRs

        Devier Posey 80
        Alshon Jeffery 80

        TEs

        George Bryan 77

        O-Line

        Nate Potter 84 LT
        Donald Stephenson 80 LT
        Addison Lawrence 83 RT
        Mark Asper 81 RT

        D-Line

        James Brooks 81 LE
        Brandon Lindsey 81 LE
        Vince Browne 82 RE
        Jaye Howard 85 DT

        LBs

        Audie Cole 82 LOLB
        Nigel Bradham 82 ROLB

        DBs

        Dre Kirkpatrick 82 CB

Drew Butler was only an 81 this time.. Still went 12th Overall. Lame.

          They look a lil inflated.

Take the top 10 QBs in 1st imported class. Average rating is a 75 OVR. You got 4 players over 80.

Compare that to the top 10 rookie QBs in madden. Their average is a 71 OVR with no QBs over 80, highest one being a 77.

Second imported class had at least 4 over 80.

          ---

Don't know if it's because of NCAA's jacked QB progression or something Madden did though. It's what helps lead to situations like people have seen with the Panthers taking Luck #1 OVR when they already had Newton who just won OROY.

To be fair, this years QB class was shit.

If this happens every year, then I would see a problem.

So I've started a project. I went in and edited down the kickers and punters in NCAA 12 and am in the process of simming through 5 seasons, one dynasty with injuries on and one with injuries off. I should have 5 classes for both soon. We'll see if that fixes the punter/kicker being taken way too early problem. I just hope the kickers and punters that come in aren't too terrible.

It's just the classes in general.

There's at least 22 players in the first class he posted 80 OVR or better.

Compared to just 5 rookies on the default roster rated 80 OVR+

QB was the most obvious example because he posted so many of them.

What were Stafford's numbers in '11-'12 season? He must have had bad numbers or been hurt a majority of the season (like last year) for the Lions to pick a QB in the 1st round.

Believe he only had around 2000 yards due to injury. I didn't really look that far into it, sorry. When the Lions drafted that QB though, he was only an 81 overall. I think that is what he starts as?
