WWE Video Games: Top 10 WWE Video Games of All Time

I knew No Mercy would be at the top of this list. I actually had one of the glitches copies of the game. I kept wondering for years why it would constantly reset the game and erase everything. Sometimes it would do it after three restarts, other times I could go for months. I also played with my friend and his cousin, and had characters on their games so it wasn't a big deal at the time.

It did it to me about three years ago, I got pissed and went to a place that sells older games and systems and bought a copy. I've had no issues and even though I don't watch wrestling anymore, this game still comes out.

Very simple, great create a wrestler mode and I loved the fact you could lose and still keep going in some story lines- it wouldn't punish you for failure at times. Survivor Mode was also something I played quite a bit, especially after my old copy would glitch out and I needed to regain some of the hidden wrestlers.

I remember when my mom got No Mercy for my birthday as a surprise. I was soooo hyped. Couldn't even touch Wrestlemania 2000 after I popped that baby in. Gameplay was damn near perfect. When I brought the N64 to the dorms, we played the fuck of it for an entire semester. Still fun as hell to play now.

THQ still hasn't gotten a wrestling game right since then. Such a damn shame.

THQ fucked up by leaving Aki. They had a great engine, and the games were always the most fun to play.

I remember my mom payed for WM 2000 for a birthday present for a friend of mine... and I made her buy me a copy too. We went and played that game for at least 5 days straight, only stopping to shit shower and eat. We had at least 4 people in the house all 5 days playing until 5-6 in the morning before sleeping in shifts lol

No Mercy was incredible too, so much to do

There isn't, but that doesn't stop No Mercy from being the best WWE game.

WCW/nWo Revenge is the best wrestling game overall though.

Once THQ/Aki left to work with the WWE, WCW was fucked over. Nitro, Thunder and whatever other games that came out were pure shit.

Those actually came out at the same time as the THQ/AKI relationship. AKI was being used to create all the n64 games and they had a deal with Inland Productions to produce Nitro and Thunder which started on Playstation but eventually found their way onto N64. Very weird.

I still have WCW Nitro for the PSone. Here comes the pain and shut your mouth are my all time favorites though.

I've rented WM 2000 so many times, I could have paid off a copy of the game...

I remember a lot of friends being pissed when they took away some of the Signature moves from regular grapples when you did Create-a-Wrestler movesets in No Mercy.

...a lot of fake wrestlers went the Way of the Dodo when you couldn't slap on the Crossface at the beginning of a match.
