How many FPS games have a worthwhile singleplayer campaign? MAG isn't missing much by not having one. I also like BC2 more, but I also like to play MAG as a change of pace. MAG is more than serviceable, and for $14, it's a steal IMO. To each his own, I suppose.

I've always wanted to get it, if only to say that I've had it and had a chance to play the game modes that max out the game capacity. Are those any fun, or is something novel that wears off after a few rounds?

I'd say they're fun. They're not the easiest though. For Domination (256 total players spread out into 4 platoons on each team), your squad/platoon alone won't determine whether you win or lose. It really takes a majority of your PMC either doing a good job defending or capturing and holding pump stations on offense to win. It's always interesting to see the chaos when two or more platoons are fighting over the final objectives.

The next largest non-DLC game mode is Acquisition (128 total people in 2 platoons for each team), which is essentially a large scale game of capture the flag where each pair of platoons is fighting over a pair of prototype APCs. It's similar to Domination in that you'll need to either break through the opposing defense or hold your ground to win. However, if your attacking in this mode, you really have a sense that your squad can turn the tide and win the game. The platoons are much more segregated through, and you won't really get the experience of a ton of people fighting in close proximity as you might in Domination.

If you're still unsure, you can download the demo on PSN when it comes back up to give it a try. It's the full game but with the restriction that you won't go past level 8.

Go Hastings has a Buy 2 Get 1 for a $1 on all used shit, including games. They run this promotion about once a month I believe. I've ordered them before and every game I received was complete (case and manual) but some weren't in the greatest condition. They all worked fine though.

Their prices are pretty damn good on used games and they have a huge selection.

They do charge $2.28 shipping for each item though so keep that in mind. It might kill the deal if you are ordering three really cheap games.

I think it was last year they had a glitch in that deal where if two of the stuff was less than a dollar the highest priced thing was a dollar.

I ordered Kirby's Epic Yarn for $19.99. They also have Metroid Other M for $14.99. I'm thinking of ordering a Dual Shock controller for $42.99 as well because I never see them on sale.

If you're lucky enough, some TRU's may have first print run copies still that have the Kitana DLC included. You can look for the little blue sticker on the game to indicate it has the Kitana DLC (no sticker = no DLC)
