For all the people who complain about COD being repetitive year in and year out (and I see some of you in this thread) you have no room to complain about COD if you don't complain about GTA. I couldn't make it through a quarter of GTAIV before I gave up on it, because it's the same exact thing from previous years. Sure, it's a bigger city, a new character, etc, but it all boils down to many of the same missions I've done multiple times already. At least with Saints Row, they try and make it more grandiose every year, and don't take themselves seriously at all, instead of trying to win awards like GTAV.
GTA4...I loved playing it and online was fun as hell as well. That's where I stand, who is coming with me???Last edited by jms493; 05-03-2013, 09:00 AM.Comment

Wait I thought everyone loved San Andreas....so if GTA 4 was like San Andreas...then what's the problem. I thought everyone hated GTA 4 (mainly cuz its cool to hate things that are popular) because it was boring and the side missions were gay.

And now they're bringing that awesome stuff back. So really GTA is more similar to Madden then COD.Comment

Rockstat almost makes it a point to be more ambitious with every iteration of the gta series, San Andreas added rpg aspects and featured a variety of locations n over the top fun. IV introduced multiplayer and brought a grittier ,more realistic, almost art house tone to the series, V is bringing the largest city yet, underwater open ocean elements, 3 simultaneous character narratives...and I'm not even including the scores of different side missions added to each iteration
Now I played MW, MW2, n MW 3...and I honestly can't tell the difference outside of the addition of killstreaks, spec ops, survival, n death streaks...
GTA is essentially the same foundation as the others but they always add so much more to it and change the tone of the series with every iteration, COD might as well skip the code names and add the year to it at this point.Last edited by IamMedellin; 05-05-2013, 06:54 PM.
