Sure, it's a bigger city, a new character, etc, but it all boils down to many of the same missions I've done multiple times already. At least with Saints Row, they try and make it more grandiose every year, and don't take themselves seriously at all, instead of trying to win awards like GTAV.
You not excited to pimp your ride?

Wait I thought everyone loved San Andreas....so if GTA 4 was like San Andreas...then what's the problem. I thought everyone hated GTA 4 (mainly cuz its cool to hate things that are popular) because it was boring and the side missions were gay.

GTA4...I loved playing it and online was fun as hell as well. That's where I stand, who is coming with me???

Not to mention it's impossible for GTA to be as repetitive as COD is because they don't release one every year.

It doesn't matter, it still boils down to the same game essentially. Repeating the same missions just gets tired.

Just like every Sleeping Dogs mission was the same. Same with Saints Row.

Erm, wasn't most of the hate for GTA4 b/c of the fact that they did away with the awesome stuff that they added to San Andreas? That doesn't sound like the same ol same ol to me.

And now they're bringing that awesome stuff back. So really GTA is more similar to Madden then COD.

Playing as 3 characters simultaneously is repetitive?

I'm not sure how you can compare those two at all. I agree that GTA4 could've done a lot more and other games like SR3 and SD have done a lot better, but no way can you compare it to CoD. CoD is an annual franchise that barely iterates anything from year to year. Looking back on it GTA4 lacked in a lot of areas but CoD it isn't. There were a lot of things they changed, some for the better and some for the worse. The police missions that you activated by getting into a police car and activating the computer was pretty innovative. The internet cafes were a nice touch. The dating and friendship stuff sucked but it was at least innovation.

                              I hope this is schtick...

Rockstat almost makes it a point to be more ambitious with every iteration of the gta series, San Andreas added rpg aspects and featured a variety of locations n over the top fun. IV introduced multiplayer and brought a grittier ,more realistic, almost art house tone to the series, V is bringing the largest city yet, underwater open ocean elements, 3 simultaneous character narratives...and I'm not even including the scores of different side missions added to each iteration

Now I played MW, MW2, n MW 3...and I honestly can't tell the difference outside of the addition of killstreaks, spec ops, survival, n death streaks...

GTA is essentially the same foundation as the others but they always add so much more to it and change the tone of the series with every iteration, COD might as well skip the code names and add the year to it at this point.
