I like the pulse pitching. I feel like the ratings mean more and it adds some randomness. I haven't liked pitching in a baseball game since I can remember because you never walked anybody and you rarely served up a meatball. The pulse pitching forces both....even if it takes away control from the user.

I currently have baserunning to auto because in the limited time I've played I could never get my guys to run properly or stop properly. I was getting thrown out because my guy wouldn't stop or I'd have a single instead of a possible double.
I think I'm using zone batting and I suck. Off speed kills me, especially the curve.
Pitching I'm using the meter because that's what I remember using back in 05.

use what u like best. with pitching people will use meter or analog. Only operation sports fags use classic pitching....and maybe dave
for hitting...some people like analog hitting and some like zone. i dont anyone who uses timing hitting which is the easiest.
fielding...i think most people use buttons over analog
so here i am looking:
analog batting (plus zone) is a bit of challenge but not too bad.....just trying to get timing down.
analog pitching is cool BUT very unforgiving. i am having a hard time finding the strike zone when i need to (which will lead to another question after this)
analog fielding....i am going to icons....the throws are just all over the place
i am doing All Star.....i would think nobody is doing rookie but is anybody doing higher levels?? are you doing it for the challenge or for better control??
sideshinizzle: good to see are around Dave. dont see you posting in OFL forums at all......3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complainingComment

The easier way is to hold your stick to whichever runner, his dot will light up to confirm, and then you press whichever face button you want him to go to.Comment

Yeah unfortunately the base running AI on this game is wacky. After a few meltdowns on the bases warner2bruce finally schooled me on why you should never use the shoulder buttons to advance bases.

I want to start messing with the game but I'm still stuck on MLB '11 with my RTTS. I just got into FA but resigned a 10yr/148 million contract to remain with the Milwaukee Brewers. I will definitely switch when the 2nd version of Full Minors Roster comes out and start a new RTTS. I'm thinking of a Right handed 3B or RF/OF (focus on strong arm/power hitter). I might play around with the RTTS creator just to make my guy before playing any games.Comment

Next year, they need, need, need to make it so you can transfer your player to the next years game. At least make it so you can put him in a free agent pool or something so all of your work isn't totally lost.

- Pitching is pretty even throughout since people are still giving pulse a shot. I like analog myself. I found it easy to adapt to since it's similar to the Tiger Woods stick motion I've been using for five years. A lot of people still roll with the meter but from what I hear there are some lag issues when pitching from the stretch.
- Hitting is probably 75/25 zone/analog. Analog is pretty unforgiving, especially online.
- NOBODY uses analog fielding, unless they enjoy never knowing where the throw will go.

Elijah Dukes....I had a RTTS named Dukes in MLB '10 (with Dukes of Hazard theme song for walk up music). I'll do the same this year.

My RTTS player is a SP. Fielding is fucking backwards and I didn't find that out till I blew 4 plays. Circle throws to third, not first.Comment

Russell from Sony posted over at OS and said to try Veteran Hitting and Hall of Fame Pitching online for better results for batting avg., runs, etc. Due to the fact batting averages and run scored were so low.
Just tried one game using those settings and saw more runs and more hits. I'll keep playing and see what a bigger sample size shows.Comment
