Past Day One through to part of Day Two for the past two nights.

Started a Fighter playthrough on the basis that I just wanted to whomp ass for hours on end.

Can't hold Aggro like poor Butters can (wouldn't switch the little guy for the world unless I was forced to) but I'm slowly collecting better ordinance and gear to supplement my reign of terror.

Got most, if not all the summons...

 

Jesus, Mr. Slave, the City Wok guy, Mr. Hanky so far

And some decent custom gear before the start of Day Two but I have no way of knowing if it levels with you or not if you leave their corresponding side-missions undone until later on.

...something to look into later on.

 

I'm a fan of how they got you to finally meet Stan and Kyle after making you hang with most of the secondary characters (other than Cartman, Kenny and Butters).

Either take the huge fight and then get KO'd anyway like so many RPGs do with "unwinnable battles"... or just walk in.

I fought, won, and got dinged on the head with a hammer for my trouble.

...now I'm doing work for the Elves early for Day Two but I haven't had to make the "Big Decision" yet.

I just hope I can sway Butters to come with me if I decide that hanging with Cartman ain't that great.

Still going on Day Two:

 

I'm a fan of the crew you can collect as you play.

So far I have Stan/Butters/Jimmy/Kenny with Butters still being my Top Brochacho and Jimmy being Numero Dos.

Didn't even have Jimmy that long but using him in a side-quest fight was SPECTACULAR.

Other than his main attack, his Bard spells are great; Debuffs, Buffs and more and they're all either rhythm based like Guitar Hero or better.

That and his banter during the fight made me wish that he was in the party earlier.

Stan was alright if only to help him get revenge on his sister Shelly; also the crowd attacks he has are great if you want straight damage.

Kenny... is Kenny. I still haven't found much use for him.

Story-wise?

 

The Taco Bell cover-up was inspired.

What its covering up isn't but at least they acknowledge that it's lame.

Recruiting the Goth Kids in the middle of the situation was decent as the Guitar Hero/DDR end-quest thing was cool.

Nothing like shuffling around, smoking and chugging coffee to show off how much of a non-conformist you REALLY are.

More Day 2:

 

Figuring out what exactly that green goo was (got a hint in the beginning of Day 2 with the alien abduction) was a trip.

Taking Timmy down to the barn to get his new flute and running into the herd of Nazi Zombie Cows like in the commercial was HILARIOUS... until they went suicide bomber at the end of the fight

After that, it felt good to turn on Cartman (losing out on Butters was hard since I lost my Tank/Healer BUT... gaining the Buff/Debuff machine that is Jimmy took the edge off a bit) and join the Elves.

Unfortunately, however morally right I was, their costumes suck and I had to level to get access to their good bow-and-arrows.

Kicking Cartman's ass made up for that though

Day 3:

 

Finding out that Clyde had the Stick all along was a twist I saw coming.

Dude basically went super villain when I took his spot on Cartman's team and it totally fit.

And it was GREAT that his "Army of the Undead" consisted of a recent rezzed Nazi-Zombie cat AND the Vamp Kids from the Twilight episode. :D

Looking forward to more today as the Kingdom of Kupa Keep and the Drow Elves join forces to whomp ass.

Just got to Day 2 last night.


I love this game.

Got to night time of Day 1 last night. It's such a fantastic game. Girlfriend and I have been fighting over playing it, as neither wants to spoil anything for the other.

The combat is ridiculously easy and simple, but honestly, it's not a complaint. The combat comes a distant second for me to just the overall joy that comes with playing the game and enjoying the story.

There is the one where you have to go through the whole game without having one of your buddies knocked out at the end of a fight. Fuck some zombie nazi cows. Fuck them.

Can you do it on easy? I am not that far, so maybe that doesn't matter, but on day 1 on Hard I got Butters knocked out once early on while I was still grasping the timing.
