The opening to this game is fucking incredible. It really sucks you in and gets you emotionally evolved. I just hope the game can continue to keep me sucked in like that.

Man, this game is so good. Atmosphere, dialogue, and thank goodness you're not of the Nathan Drake school of mass murder (you still murder, a lot, but the whole "every bullet you fire is one you might need later" effect helps a lot -- that and you're made of meat and bones and not whatever super steel Nate was made out of).

Question: does it take fucking forever for anyone else to load their save? Like, almost 5 minutes?

See it's weird. I read a blog on kotaku of "things you should do" while playing LOU. One point was stressing not to waste shiv's and how important they are.

I've literally used TWO in half the game. Once to open a locked gate, once to kill a clicker. That's it. I either sneak past the rest, or kill em with bombs/bullets. One of the other points from the article was "you don't need to kill everyone, you can sneak through areas"...and I do that alot too.

Last night I fired it up, loading comes up after 2 minutes. Crawls along...takes a minute to get to 45%...then DROPS to 10% and crawls back up....to 75%...then drops back down like 20%....then crawled back up to 100%. Last 5 % was agony. Watching it creep along at 100th's of a percentage point at a time. Jesus...

To be fair, there's no loading in the actual game at all, so I guess it worked itself out.
