Except for a few select titles that I buy new, I buy almost all of my games used. And the titles that I do buy new, I will usually sell back when I beat them or get tired of them for about half price or more. I like to get the most value out of my games for the least amount of money and I'm not the only one who does this.
They are taking away your options in favor of them having more control over how you buy and own your games. They are trying to shift the mentality of gaming from "ownership" to "rented experience" and packaging it as if that is good for you. And they wonder why piracy is such a big issue these days. That's great that you don't mind paying new price for your games or you don't mind paying a second time to digitally download a game that you once owned a previous system. I do mind these things. If none of these things bother you, then more power to you, I guess.
