I'm in the middle of writing a review for the home page. I rented it and I'm playing it now and I'll be giving out my impressions throughout the review. Anything mentioned in this thread will be taken into consideration to be in my review. A lot of good things to say about it so far.

I like it, Some things though

The announcers are sometimes way off with their sayings and whats going on in the field of play.

I dont like how the players go through other players.

Sometimes when a ball is hit right at the fielder, he moves and the ball goes right past him.

The outfielders slow down when they are going to catch a ball.

But overall its a good game

If anyone hasnt used the zone hitting feature I would definitely recommend trying it if you want it to be very realistic and if you want a challenge. I will also be doing a review for this at the end of the week also.

First complete game I play is a 4-3 win. Game ends on a Jason Worth assist from right field throwing out Carl Crawford, the tying run at the plate in a bang-bang play.

Con: Line drive to the second baseman. Guy on first jogs back instead of sliding or sprinting and it seemed like he was on the base but he was called out for a double play anyway.

I played my first game, I lost 7-5. I scored all 5 of my runs in the 8th inning.

It was fun, but I really don't like the animations for outfielders catching fly balls. I had one weird moment where I had a guy on first, and hit a perfect double play ball to the second baseman. The second baseman picked up the ball, hesitated, took a few steps to second base, and then threw the ball to the shortstop at secondbase just before the runner got there.

Is there a special button that gives you a power swing?

Game actually isn't that bad. I lost my first game 4-0,I was the Red Sox against the Brewers. I didn't change any settings besides putting hitting to Classic after the 4th Inning (so going from this to The Show can be an easier transition). Definitely a playable game, I just have trouble taking it seriously after playing MLB. Great improvement over last year's disaster.

Really the only thing that bothered me after one playthrough was that throwing in the field wasn't responsive. Usually I hold the button I'm gonna throw to while the player is waiting to catch the ball and this game doesn't really allow that. This caused the inning where the Brewers scored the 4 runs which pissed me off.

Alright so I played a couple Franchise games with the Mets and it was fun for the most part.

What I liked: Controllers were pretty simple for the most part, Presentation was pretty good, I like the menus being simuliar to NBA 2k9, overall enjoyable

What I didn't like: Moving in the field feels awkward, the baserunning could be better, specifcally sending runners and holding runners gets confusing. I didn't figure out till half way through game 2 that you had to press A to change the lead runner. Just felt like there is a better way it could be done.

Overall: It's a fun game, certaintly not the best baseball game I ever played and does need improvement but its good enough.

were you using the thumbstick to throw or the buttons?

Buttons. I refuse to use the right thumbstick for that or for rounding the bases.

Has anyone else had trouble fielding popups? I played a game and the computer hit two popups, my players dropped both of them.
