progression is truly earned. There are a lot of factors that go into HOW much points a player gets, there are new ratings in madden that dictate how many points is received on age, production, skill, intangibles, athleticism. Victor Cruz can now jump from 55 ovr to 95 in a year, if he has a baller year.

I don't mind this idea. Way I see it, there are a good amount of players that come out of nowhere (Victor Cruz is a good example) where they start the season rated horribly and a huge year gives them a huge boost. Then let's say Victor Cruz has a big slumping second season, that would bump him down maybe in the 70's somewhere. I think it would be a good idea if for young players their ratings average out how they do in their first 3-4 seasons before their ratings start to stick closer and closer each following season.

Good info in that thread taters posted
NO MORE POTENTIAL.
It's all about a few key ratings.
Production - what they did in college.
Size - Player size for their position.
Scheme - what type of offense/defense they fit into
Skills - their skill set they enter the league with
As they get playing time and practice time, they gain points. The commish can choose for player upgrades weekly, quarterly, or yearly.

Does that mean that those other guys are going to be totally unavailable to use if you didn't get the game from GameStop or whatever? Or will they be a DLC option?
I saw that one retailer had LT and the other had Barry Sanders and I'd kind of like to try it with both of them eventually I would imagine.

From the link I posted, draft prospects can get injured.
