Haven't bought the game new since 2004. I bought a used one in 2008 and 09 and that was a dumb move lol.

I'm actually fairly interested because offline franchise is all I used to and still want to play since I have no time for the online stuff. The online leagues move to quickly for my time table and it wouldn't be fair to join one and screw a bunch of guys over by my constant no showing.

In that interview he very beautifully stepped around the question if there were holdouts lol.

The lack of customization is a big blow for me.

The way Looman words it is he says "you have the ability to progress every player on your team". Does that mean you have the option to not do it? The way I take that is that its not mandatory. I'm really praying they still have some sort of progression that the cpu will do.

theres plenty of adult leagues who know this isnt some crucial necessity.

If I draft a spread offense type QB but plug him into a westcoast type offense and ball out with him regardless will he make big strides progressing? What about a 3-4 NT plugged into a 4-3 that balls. Will his ability to progress be handcuffed by scheme? The ultimate determiner of progression should be production.

I believe you (offline) or the commissioner (online) will have the option to turn off manual progression and allow the CPU to allocate the points on its own. If you or the commissioner keeps it on you will have the choice of allowing progression to take place every 2, 4 or 8 weeks of the season or one time a season which is likely during the off season.

I'm well aware of that. I was in a pc league back in 04 that shits on every league on this site to this day and they finally wrapped everything up after season 35 or so thanks to the caps and teams being so out of wack but its cool keep talking out of your ass.

                                This.

Totally nerf offline because they can't have it in online too, what kind of shit is that? At least make it available for offline like it has been, Josh Looman himself was saying last year how important they decided it was to let the player have control over the editing during franchise, and now it's out.
