its still not the same guy..you lose the history..takes away from the imaginary fun in that regard

they didnt think of a-retire player,become coach option.......

They should have kept the player in game but they really couldn't keep him as a coach since in this fictional world, it's the same time period. A guy isn't going to be playing RB one week, retire, have the coach fired and take over coaching duties the following week. They would have to include the option to come in as an offense/defense coach, so a RETIRED cap could come in and start coaching while keeping their history (and XP). Lots of comparison to the real world when we are talking about a videogame but those who really want to use their player as a coach, they can do it and just have to pretend one more aspect of their player/coach.
