Yup. I don't see any ads for this game plastered all over their site, but I do see Halo 4 ads. I can already tell you that Halo 4 will get at least a 9 from them.

Game Informer (50/100): "The uninspired single-player campaign, uneven multiplayer execution, and rampant presence of glitches undermine Medal of Honor: Warfighter's efforts to join the Tier 1 of military shooters. If Danger Close keeps executing this poorly, this once-loved series may be dangerously close to being put in a casket."
OXM (50/100): "You'll also roll your eyes at cloying cutscenes that never bother to introduce a worthwhile villain, and are instead crammed with insulting caricatures of unhappy military wives. We'll acknowledge it takes a rare breed to succeed in the special forces, but the personifications of dutiful male devotion are too one-dimensional to be human, much less heroic."
Destructoid (50/100): "Charmless, cynical, and uninspired, Warfighter encapsulates everything wrong with the annual big budget shooter industry. It's really not an awful game, it's just insipid and shallow, a title that exists solely to exist, and squeeze whatever profit remains to be had from serving the same flavorless porridge to the same unadventurous customers. It will make its money, and keep the FPS factories in business for another year."
Polygon (45/100): "While the multiplayer's obtuse design decisions are preferable to the campaign's lack of artificial intelligence, decent mechanics, or interesting level design, it's still difficult to find much reason to recommend Medal of Honor Warfighter over the shooters it wants so desperately to resemble. In an attempt to build a bridge across Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty, Danger Close has once again fallen into the hole between them."
DarkStation (40/100): "Here's the aggravating truth: Warfighter is bad. Even given the fact that it's functional and competently designed at its base, the game in no way provides a nutritive and compelling addition to the genre it wants so badly to rule. Its core premise, to provide players an "authentic" special forces warfighter experience, never comes within striking distance due to hazy plot development and abrupt, inorganic pacing."
Average metascore of 54/100 on Metacritic...
I guess EA didnt fork over enough money to any1.....or maybe they just made a shitty game :cmpunk:

The MP is solid. I've only come across the spawn glitching a couple times, it's an issue, but doesn't happen anywhere near enough to be a game killer to me at all. Decent variety of game modes. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the "hot spot" mode, since I did like Rush in BF3. I know there's a similar mode in the battle mode or whatever it's called where it's 3 bases and 100 tickets, but I enjoy both. Their version of conquest is meh. All in all it's good fun.
Only thing I hope for at this point is more maps. I can see the current set of maps getting dull relatively quickly.Comment

I think everybody sensed the game wasn't going to go over that well on the reviews based on the way the beta and advance copies were handled. It sounds like the SP mode is worthless and that MP has it moments with the BF4 beta guarantee probably being the biggest reason this game is moving units in advance of Halo 4 and Black Ops II taking over the market in the next couple of weeks.Comment

For real though, this game could be so much more but it falls between a cash grab (early BF4 Beta access) and a bad experiment (there's more good than bad in the title but all of it stems from the MP).
This is supposed to be another top competitor for the FPS crown but I fear resources that could be better spent towards making one series near-perfect will end up watering down two instead for EA.Comment

I really like the story so far in the way it's showing you what these elite soldiers go through. It reminds me a lot of Act of Valor. These guys carry out the most harrowing missions and are gone from their families for months at a time. I like seeing the "real side" of war and not the bullshit that CoD throws at you. Don't get me wrong, the CoD campaigns are entertaining and this game cribs a lot of what makes those fun; breaching, chain gun sequences, etc.
I know Dizzle said last page or so that he hated the first driving mission. I thought it was intense as hell and really interesting. If you're a racing game fan like Swarley or JMS and love that cockpit view you will love that mission. I'm not sure I've seen one like it in a shooter before.
As for multiplayer, like Swarley said, it has a faster pace than Bf3 but not as crazy twitch as CoD, and it still retains a lot of that team play that the Bf games have. I really like the buddy system and like the game modes they have. My only real complaint is how borked the chat is and the fucked up spawning on that one map. The chat is so weird. Two nights ago it was fine and last night I couldn't talk with Swarley at all except between matches, no matter what chat mode we had selected.
I have no allegiance towards this game. I paid a whopping $25 for it thanks to a gift card and I'm going to get a $20 gift card for buying it. If it sucked dick I'll tell you it sucked dick. I honestly have no clue what game these other outlets played. I had one of the 40 Cast guys tweet me last night saying how shocked he was about all the shitty reviews because he likes the game as well. These reviews are just insanely low and ridiculous.Comment

Like I said, I like the direction they are taking with the story. Apparently if it's not some bombastic bullshit and far fetched yarn spun by the CoD creators then it's shit.Comment

Any PC players out there? I'm looking for someone who can at least get me some points via FireTeam Buddy. I truly suck at all FPS. I have no idea why. I just plain suck. As a result, I usually only last like 20 or 30 minutes before frustration sets in.
What story? Guy wants to save his marriage and then the rest is straight out of Act of Valor. There's no story here. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment
