From watching his channel for a few months now, he's just a guy that likes to do a bunch of marathons for the hell of it. Back in March he did a MGS 1-4 marathon. Doesn't seem to do them for any real reason besides for funsies.

Farming is pretty helpful in the first two Zelda games. It's almost necessary in Zelda II.

You can set it up that way through XSplit.
