Finished up the Pigsy's Perfect 10 DLC for Enslaved and got 100% of the trophies. That is one solid piece of DLC. For $5 it's a no brainer if you still have the game.

Beat Tomb Raider (this year's reboot) again, this time on hard. Still wasn't a huge challenge, but that feels like it should have been the normal difficulty. Still fucking love that game. Action-adventure is my shit. While the story obviously isn't that great, I really enjoy the platforming, the very well done combat, character upgrades, open areas to explore and the character progression of Lara through the story. Once again it put a giant grin on my face at the very end when Lara busted out the dual pistols like the old days. Can't wait for Square to announce Tomb Raider 2.Comment

Aaaand my second playthrough of Assassin's Creed II is in the books. As much as I loved the ending of AC2 the first time around, now that I know how it all unfolds (at least so far), it's just weird. They could have done some cool things, and I thought it all worked out decently at least through ACB or ACR, but AC3 was just a shit storm with all the present day stuff. Obviously there's still plenty there, but with how AC3 ended and the fact that you're just an Abstergo employee for AC4, it seems like either they just aren't going to play around with that stuff this go around, or they are dropping it completely. As weird and sloppy as all the present day stuff turned out to be, I'd still like a conclusion to that at some point. Don't take me through a story for 5 games and then throw it away.
Glad I played again though, reminds me just how much I love the series (once again, despite 3). Can't wait to jump into my favorite of the series, AC: Brotherhood. It'll be interesting to see if my opinions of the games change at all after I finish the entire second playthrough of the series.Comment

Just finished Batman: Arkham Asylum for the second time. Fuck what a good game. I remember when it first came out I just wrote it off as probably another crappy super hero game. Near flawlessness in that game, well, at least up until the Joker fight at the end lol. That was a little dumb. Excited to play Arkham City again once I play a couple other games first.
Which one?Comment

the very first one. When the HD Collection went on sale I bought it. Its crazy how many games I didn't play during the ps2 days. Thats why I love these HD Collections. The only problem I have right now is that since Ive been playing all of these older games, I feel like I haven't played a real great story in awhile. Ratchet and Clank is all goofing around, I wasn't in love with the gameplay nor the story of God of War, Resident Evil has aged poorly but still fun, and Dark Souls is like working out my brain and patience rather than actually playing a game. Ive been stuck on one boss for over a week now. I give it 4-5 tries everyday and keep dying.Comment

You can't laugh but its the fucking Bell Gargoyles. I know thats early in the game, but Ive probably put at least 20 hours into that game already and I simply cannot beat those fucking things. This is a game that will take me a year to beat while I take breaks from it with other games.Comment

yeah those gargoyles are a bitch.
pro hint
go into human form and summon soilare b4 the fight ( you will see an odd looking sign on the floor on your way out to the roof . you can use him as a distraction so you can take out one of the gargoyles and make it an easier fight
and dont ever forget - praise the sun
dont ever be afraid to cheese in dark soulsLast edited by CrimsonGhost56; 07-26-2013, 10:07 PM.Comment

If you didn't spring for the FES version (I think it's the original game plus post-game content), it's still a great JRPG game.
From what I've played so far, it's got a decent battle system and the formula they've built in to mix/match Personas is a mind bender but works well once you get the hang of it.
Especially if you can farm a few less demons into a better one in the early-game.
On another topic, have you considered looking at other games in the Atlus catalog?Comment
