Killzone: Mercenary Announced for Vita
During its Gamescom 2012 press conference today, Sony announced Killzone: Mercenary, an all-new Killzone game for Vita.
Created specifically for Vita by Killzone developer Guerrilla Games, Sony describes the game as “a first-person shooter not possible on any other platform.” A live-action trailer showed off a character named Justus Harkin and a Helghast helmet. Gameplay shown later included touch controls.
Killzone Vita was first hinted at when the Next Generation Portable (which later became Vita) was originally announced. We later heard that Guerrilla games had three projects in the works and that Killzone Vita was one of them.
More recently, we heard in May that Sony was recording a teaser for a new Killzone game, which appears to be the live-action trailer shown off today.
