The damage is done though.

Even if it's an alpha and the game comes, is decent, this really will hurt their sales. Someone working real hard to hurt EA here, perhaps some sneaky fuckery from 2K as they are likely still mad about losing NFL exclusivity to them.

Does anyone remember who the video uploader was? Was it an official EA Sports account and they did the celebrity twitter "post something stupid then say you were hacked" thing?

I think it was actually an EA source that leaked the game. They might have wanted to gauge public reaction to it in order to see if it was worth releasing for $20 as an arcade game on XBL/PSN. Either way, the NBA Live team is looking poorly compared to the other dev teams at EA.

That would be a very risky move and I don't know if EA is that sort, they love sticking to their guns and playing it safe.

I don't know how anyone inside of EA would have thought that gameplay would go over well.

EA has always been sharper in these regards but honestly this NBA Live/Elite team has had fiasco after fiasco for years now.

Apparently the build that was shown in the video is not the one shown at E3 so this must be a July build.
