lucky for me my gullet of games is bare. borderlands 2 is the only thing on my radar. i really didnt know this game exsisted until today when i watched the IGN video review. then i watch gamespots review...i really like Kevin Van Ord and his opinion usually mirrors mine....so i checked into some other things about the game and was pretty blown away by it.

not to mention....no fees to play.

its downloading now...54%. i cant play it till later though

I hear nothing but good things about it. I dont mind MMOs...they can be fun. I will see....if I dont get into this hockey league with my brother I might try it out. I need to beat Sleeping Dogs though.

i am gonna try to get on the same server as Kevin. i had to download the game again. i chose to save it to my HDD thinking i would then install it on my SSD...nope...so now i gotta dl it again to the SSD

the server kevin listed wasnt on my list of server choices. i cant remember the server i am on...isle of something.
game is fun. i played about 3 hours tonight and the time just flew by. I chose a human with elementalist profession. I like how it allows you to switch from fire, water, air and earth. you have to unlock each one, but i already unlocked the first 3.

what is really sweet is you carry 2 weapons. depending on the weapons, you unlock different powers. each combo of weapons provides a different set of powers for each set of elements.

early on i had a septre and a dagger and unlocked 5 fire powers. Then i switched to 2 daggers and had to unlock another set of 5 powers. now i have a dagger and a vitality thing of some kind and have to unlock more powers. Mind you, it doesnt take long to unlock these things and you unlock them by simply killing bad guys. Plus once they are unlocked, they are unlocked....you dont have to unlock stuff for each different dagger in the game. Once you open the dagger powers, they stay open for all daggers.

the world events are tits. this is a kick ass idea. you will just be randomly walking along and all of a sudden a new event opens and you see a shitload of people run over to where the event is and fuck shit up. they dont seem to hard and are pretty chaotic. but they are fun and very organic in how they develop. I did one where we had to stop bandits from busting water pipes. They broke through 2 of them so the event changed to now we have to defend the workers while they repair the pipes.

then i was doing some simple task for a farmer and went into a cave that just kept going deeper and deeper. eventually i found a bunch on other people and came to another event where i died and called it a night.

The world looks pretty awesome too. you find these moments where you find a vista and click on it and it gives you an assassins creed panoramic view of the area that looks amazing. its seems like a very large world with a tin of shit to explore.

im glad i bought this game.

isle of janthir is the server iam on. seems like alot of people are playing. usually when u login you go to an overflow server. but it only lasts maybe 5 minutes. u get qued up to join your server and even have the option to stay in the over flow and goto the back of the line in the que. its nice in case your doing something

i am enjoying it alot more than SWTOR. it might be because i know this game is free moving forward. im no MMO expert, so i cant compare things in this to others. But from what i have seen and read people are saying it takes all the great things and fixes the bad things from other MMO's

SWTOR should be free soon, if not already. Guess I'll give it a shot in a month or so when I actually have time. Weekends are booked with work and football for the foreseeable future.

People never comment on the audio for games. Obviously you cant hear it, but this guy whistling below was going to town with his tune. The Audio in the game is excellent.
