plus crota is just a glitch fest and hardly anybody does it straight in any boss/fight

What would you guys say is the minimum level to be competitive in the Crucible? I'm currently at level 11, primary weapon is rated 79 and I have a 210 armor rating. I'm doing good to get 1 or 2 kills in a match. I get incinerated within seconds of spawning by level 29-31 players

the Crucible, excluding the Iron Banner, has no level advantage
BUT
its the weapons and abilities that make the difference, rather than the level.

i was in there the other night for the 1st time in like 4 weeks, with my lvl 31 Warlock and was raping MFers.
had me a 10-kill streak

I guess I need some better weapons then. I've got some great armor that is level 20 but I'm still a good bit away from being able to use it. I'll keep powering through some of the story line missions until I finish. I've gone up about 8 levels in the past week and maybe I'll find some weapons to help even up my firepower with other peoples as I work through them.

Slowly but surely getting my Hunter up to speed for the Crucible. I've cleared all of the story missions on Earth and the Moon and just finished the first one on Venus. Also making sure to gather every gold chest along the way. There's definitely a grind to it but you do see enough progress that it doesn't get overly frustrating.

its not that bad now with the TDB DLC........
things drop so quickly for legendary weapons & armor.
plus; you can power level when you hit 20. you can get mega rep with higher level cats, like myself - running the highest level strikes, missions, etc.

That's what I am hoping to do once I get to level 20. I'll be happy when I get to level 18 and can start collecting Vanguard marks for legendary gear purchases in the tower.

probably a new Exotic weapon or Armor by class that can be bought from Xur on Friday
or
Hard Mode Crota
or
even better, a new Raid for Lvl 32s (like on Mars or the Moon) - basically another DLC for those who have TDB


nobody wants a Hard Mode Crota when nobody fights it Normal straight up anymore........
speaking of;
we ran Crota last night straight up for the 1st phase (Thralls) - it was refreshing.

some good stuff about to drop on Tuesday the 13th.

- the VoG raid raid drops are going to be 331s, instead of 300s.
- putting an end to exploits in CE Raid also
about time for both of these......
